why are the pills diff colors? and which pill makes me start my period? and do i start it at the end of my pack of pills?

The color difference is the difference between those pills that contain the active hormones and the placebo pills that enable your cycle at the end of the month.
Why four colors?
ORTHO TRI-CYCLEN LO is a triphasic birth control pill, which means that it delivers a different level of hormones for 3 weeks (white, light blue and dark blue pills) and no hormones for 1 week (green pills). During each of the first
3 weeks, the level of progestin increases.

They are multi-colors because the dose of each pill is on a scale, starts low and increases or vis versa (can't remember exactly which). Just read the info insert that came with the pills, it has the best info that you need to know. I was on ortho tricycle for a year after my baby and they always made me feel like I could take down a zebra or snap at a husband at the speed of sound!! LOL!! Very grouchy!!! I switched!!

you start the pack on the first day of your period. They are different colors becuase they are different dosages. The last week, the green ones, are sugar pills, and have no medicine in them. This is when you have your period. You period starts when you have taken 3 of the green pills.

You start at the begining on a Sunday. The different colored ones at the end are pretty much sugar pills....

The pill color that is the most are the ones you start. The ones that different color, should be seven of them are a placebo, they don't "make" you start your period. Because there is no drug in them is what causes you to start your period.

You start taking them the 1st day of your period. For the first week you take the white ones; second week you take the light blue ones, third week you take the dark blue ones; then you take the green ones. Your period should start on the 3rd day of the green ones.

my gf's on them, i think it has like 3 rows of the same color, you havetot take that everyday at the same time and then theres gonna be another row of just sugar pills. Same then you gota take taht at the same time.
