Kind of like how in Asian martial arts you are taught to look at the eyes, do you look at the hips, legs, eyes, or chest for folkstyle wrestling?

I assume you mean in neutral, if so keep your eyes on their hips, not so much because they telegraph anything because good wrestlers don't telegraph anything but because they will use their hands feet chest and even their face and eyes to distract you, also the hips will be one of the first things to move when they actually try a move (not fake one). so you should be watching their whole body but focusing on their hips
in wrestling its actually better to be touching your opponent and feel them move as opposed to see it, its much harder for them to fool you and easier for you to react, so try to have your hands on them all the time
If you mean top or bottom you have to feel it, many teams train top and bottom in the dark to force this, your eyes WILL decieve you here, so you have to feel what your opponent is doing, there is a reason blind wrestlers usually do just fine.

As a former high school varsity wrestler, I can tell you with absolute certainty that your main focus should be the hips. I was told by my coaches never to look at the eyes because they will fool you and absolutely no move starts there. Every maneuver done with real power in wrestling is directed from the hips.

Good question...

I would say shoulders and hips. Most people don't know how to execute a technique without telegraphing with your shoulders and your hips. Some people can almost tell what kick you are going to use from how your hips move. I learned this from a Chinese gongfu master of the Hung family fist. He said it was the basis of the "no-shadow" kick.

I used to always look at the eyes and chest, the only time i would look down was mainly when i shot, or occasionally glance at my opponents feet in an attempt to read their movements.
Looking in the eyes can help you determine what direction they plan on moving and attacking, and the chest will help you read the movement of their arms, not because your looking at the chest, but because you can actually see their arms and the movements of their arms.

for wrestling you always keep your eyes on the opponents hips. You can maintain awareness of his limbs with your peripheral vision but his hips are most important!!!!!!!!!

elbows knees and eyes
Bruce Lee said that
cuz the move of the elbows is means that the elbow or the hand is striking
and the move of the knee means that the knee or the the leg is striking
and the eyes is really important cuz they some time look at the place the opponent going to hit but all the time some time they fall out of the way so u'll know when should u take ur shot

I asked a friend who was a boxer and taught Tae Kwon Do (sp?) that question and his reply was that your opponent's shoulder " telegraphs " his move . Not much of an answer but with some others who respond to your question it may help .
Happy & safe holidays ! :0)

i would say probably look at the chest, that way you see they're whole body and don't just watch one particular part see the whole body.
