Word of God is "sharper" than any twoedged 'sword'.
Charity never faileth is "above" forgiving one another,
and notably bcz charity thinketh no evil to even forgive.
Children & servants who differ nothing are "know not"s.
So be no more children, nor servant either, but a son.
Endless err and expectation of forgiveness is futile folly, if
the LORD said: My spirit shall not always strive with man.
Grow the f UP, "grow in grace" by flushing law as "dung".
Grace --> Mercy ---> Peace with you all. Amen.

What intrigues me is why, at the start of your question, you put the two words 'sword drill'.

The Saviour of the world prayed this for those who crucified Him as well as for us when He was dying on the cross for our sins.
The words of a gospel song comes to mind here....
"I'll never know how much it cost,
To see my sins upon that cross."
