Be creative, like wrap a pair of baby booties in a box and give them to it as a gift with a not that says congradulations. Or just tell them if you are too excited to hold it in.

i left a powerpoint presentation on my mom's laptop to tell her! i knew that she and i wouldn't have any contact for about 6 days, so by the time i finally saw her again (after she had seen the show) she had had time to digest the news and get used to the idea of being a grandmother (i was only 22, not married, and finishing up school)...

oh, one thing: If you've decided that you're absolutely keeping the baby, then don't act ashamed by pregnancy and don't say you're sorry. having a baby is a wonderful, beautiful, amazing thing which should be celebrated...

This happened to my oldest brother and his fiance just a month ago. They called us on Thanksgiving, and smartly told my mom the news first. Then my dad, then the rest of us. It was a little chaotic, and everyone struggled to get a bearing on the situation. Maybe it's best to be forward and give it to them straight.

well xmas is coming soon so how about wrapping up a lil note or pregnancy test and giving it to your mom and dad.I never told anyone i was pregnant until I was atleast 12 weeks just to make sure the pregnancy lasted that long.
But wrapping up a lil something to do with a baby and giving it to them would be cool.

Very matter-of-factly, with your head held high and with a plan in mind...(because your parents will undoubtedly ask). It's a challenge, for sure, but there's no more rewarding job in this world than raising, healthy, well-adjusted, and productive members of society. Congratulations, and good luck.

I would invite them out to dinner (public place to avoid yelling if you think they will be angry) and tell them "I have some great news. ________ and I are having a baby and we're so excited." Even if they are upset at first give them a week or two and they will embrace the idea and be excited as well.

Well,
Is this a planned baby? If it is, I think the best way is to
spread it by phone.

If it wasn't then, I would still tell them by phone. That way
you wouldn't feel so nervous.

Unless your parents are very strict.
I would probably need more info on this question.
But hope this helps.

Buy them a Grandma and Grandpa coffee mug for Christmas.

First, Congratulations!

You know the bibs that say "I love my grandma" and "I love my grandpa", get those and wrap them up, and give them each a box at the same time so they find out at exactly the same time.
