All the time I see how 14 & 15 yr. old girls get pregnant by 25 yr.-old men, but the guys never go to jail, & the parents are OK with it.

I'm not trying to be stupid here. I'm just wondering how so many men get away with getting little girls pregnant. I wonder why the hospital staff doesn't report it once they have the baby or why the doctor doesn't report it when they get their ultrasound.

One facet of this problem is SHAME. The STUPID STUPID parents of the young girls cannot face the SHAME they feel because their daughter.... did what comes naturally.

This goes back to the "Moral Majority" trying to dictate morality and edging closer and closer to Sharia. THERE, if a young girl has sex and gets preggers, she can be whipped for driving the boy to lose control. Here, there is a weaker version of that assumption. But it STILL comes back to a boy who couldn't keep his schlong inside his shorts. But blame the girl just because OBVIOUSLY she was asking for it. Sure, well SO WAS THE BOY!

It is often religiously-based fear of some social stigma that causes the parents to send the daughter to a "special school" for a while until she "feels better." The girl won't tell because the parents won't let her. The boy, on the other hand, will in all likelihood BRAG about yet another conquest.

If this country would learn to shed its sexist views based in misguided Christianity, we would be far better off. And the worse part is that it got that way because of King James II, who commissioned the translation effort that became the KJV of the Bible. He introduced his deep misogynist biases because of the golden rule. (He who has the gold makes the rules...)

If the victim of the rape dosen't report it to the police, or refuses to stand trial, the prosecution really doesn't have a foot to stand on. The actual case is brought by the state, because the crime isn't only limited to the victim, but also impacts on the state. Without the evidence of the victim, little can be done, and in my opinion, that is a major floor in the legal system.

Even if the doctors tried to report all of them, do you think the girls are going to tell who it was? Then again, some think if they are not reported, the men might pay child support. Fat Chance! They know if they are in jail they won't pay and when they get out, they will run 'cause they don't want to be known as child molesters.

in some states in the USA there is mandatory reporting by Doctors. So any woman under 18 that is pregnant gets reported and an investigation started because there is no way she can be pregnant without a crime having occurred , unless she is married .

But your statement is basically correct, no crime report, no investigation , no prosecution , no conviction .

Hospital staff doesn't report it because they don't know who the father is. If they suspect, they are legally bound to report it. I tis not like the guy is all cuddly and helping with the birth. As are all the adults at school. they are called "mandatory reporters".

That is true, unless the rape is reported to the police or if they get wind of it, sadly nothing can be done.

If a crime is not reported, then how could there be a trial for a conviction? I think you need to read up on how the US criminal system works...

Obviously, if the police are never notified about a crime, then they can't take any enforcement action against it.

That's just common sense.
