First off, there isn't a draft, and there's not going to be a draft!! Second, that wouldn't be a disqualifier any more. I was diagnosed with flat feet at Womack AMC, and I'm still in!! Try something else, like moving to a different country. These questions about avoiding the draft kill me. That's a hell of a way to honor the memory of all the people who have scacrificed their lives in defense of this country.

Back under the old draft... yes. If they started a new draft, it would depend on what rules they make. I think they would still draft someone with flat feet, it may limit what job they can do because after all, a modern draft in America would somehow include females too I think, but until it happens, we wont know.

Hon, that used to be the case in WWII, but no more. If a body is breathing then he or she would be able to be drafted, if and only if there was a draft at the time he/she went to MEPS.

I almost doubt it. My nephew tried to join a few years back(20) and they wouldn't take him. This was because he is flatfooted. His is an extrema case and now he is disabled. This really bothers him because he had a job that paid real good and he really liked it.Now he can hardly do anything without hurting real ba,all through his back, down his legs and his feet.Hope you are not flatfooted.

You couldn't have a combat MOS, so you would get a desk job or a combat support job....but yes you would be drafted.
