I'm totally out of white vinegar and don't want to run to the store ... I have a lot of lemon juice, though. Can I substitute and will it change the flavor?

Yes, you can......and you can do it the other way around, too......unless the lemon or vinegar are going to be the prominant flavors in the overall recipe.....you'll be good to go......Enjoy!!!

You can but you're going to get a lemon flavour, especially if they are white cupcakes. Add a little more vanilla.

Yes you can, it's providing an acid that will make the cupcakes rise
