Spirituality – Confusing or What?
By Joseph Ghabi
For some of us, spirituality is considered a religion, and for some it is not. For some spiritualists, we still see them dealing with their spiritual belief and see them stuck between two worlds.
One world is the "new belief system" based on our personal growth, soul growth and our evolution, and their second world is also attached to one, or some part of, religion that makes it a hard time to let go regardless of the reason, but still wants to move beyond that belief system.
That will create a conflict that when we decide we want to grow sometimes we are not allowed to bring the old system with us. That will slow us down. Think about it!!!
What do I mean by a "new belief system"?
For many belonging to spiritualist temples, churches or even centers, the "new belief system" plays a big part and is proof of the existence of a Soul after its departure from this plane.
That is very good and an important thing to do or prove. I believe that by doing this we are emphasizing an important factor, but at the same time somehow disregarding an even more important part, which is our (in this lifetime) Soul existence and why we are here in the first place.
A person called a spiritualist is a person that outgrew all the issues of hate, anger or frustration of traditions that are attached to a specific set of morals or values.
That spiritualist's concern is for his or her own evolution first and then for the love and compassion that he or she can bring to the world by respecting another human Soul instead.
How do I define spirituality or being spiritual?
In reality, it is very simple and defies all the laws that our society has dictated to us for many years.
Spirituality is not a belief system, not based on morals and values but more on understanding and consciousness of our existence and people should try to distinguish the differences.
Spiritual is simply a way of living. That's all! What do I mean by this?
Being spiritual is being free and basically living by your own values, which assists in the growth of your own Soul and at the same time helps us to respect a human being as a human being. You can belong to any religion while still being spiritual.
Spirituality is not a threat to anyone in reality but is the next step up for the growth of the Soul. Just think about it from that angle!!! So we are here is grow and be in our spiritual path of understanding.
Being associated with another Soul on your spiritual path does not really mean you have karma to deal with that person, but in effect you are receiving a gentle push, or being provided with a little help, to go forward in your own personal growth.
Life is simple so let's not complicate it further regardless what our lessons and experiences are in this lifetime.
Love & Blessings

Do you mean doubts about the Bible, or doubts about something else, like whether she'll ever get a job?
If the former, it's because Christians believe that the Bible is the only book that is infallible. To continue your metaphor, you wouldn't go get a second opinion from a quack doctor on a street corner.
Also, it's very difficult to find "critical sources" that say anything like the Bible does. If you read books about the Bible written by people from other religions, 99 times out of 100 the book is about why the Bible is wrong. Much of the Bible must be taken on faith, so people can talk themselves into swivets trying to prove how this part or that part is wrong, but to a Christian, that just doesn't matter.
There are commentaries on the Bible, of course, that can help you understand some of the tougher aspects, but oftentimes just going to the source is the best thing. Because the Bible was written by a bunch of different people, some parts of the Bible explain other parts - the Gospels explain some of the prophesies in Isaiah and Micah, for instance.
The Bible is also read as a source of comfort. If your friend is having a doubt about a specific situation, rather than a full-faith crisis, she likely can find an answer in the Bible, and that's why she reads it. If nothing else, the Bible articulates over and over that God loves you and wants the best for you - it's wonderful to read when you're having a bad day.

I can explain this this way-
Do you know how people that work for the government learn to tell what money is counterfeit? They are not given counterfeit money to examine- they are ONLY GIVEN the really thing so that when they see anything else they will know that is not the true thing. Same with the bible- if we go to other books other than the Bible we can miss truth- not saying that other books are not filled with truth= but without knowing His Word we can miss it- and live with something false.
The Bible has all the answers there for doubts and everything else. This does not mean I never read any other books, however the Bible is the wisest book for any issue, due to the fact that it is the Word of God

Maybe. I read the Koran after reading the Bible for that same reason. Still, different people work differently. If the Bible confused them, maybe reading it again is the right choice. Moving onto a different, equally confusing book wouldn't benefit them. They would just be confused about two complicated books instead of just one.

It's hard to overcome programming. Consider someone with a persistent pain that their doctor can't diagnose. They've been told all their lives that only Western medicine is valid and that chiropractors, naturopaths and acupuncturists are all deluded or fakes. The patient has never been to one of these strange practitioners and only hears unverifiable stories about their "successes". Unless the patient actually goes to one of them, their opinion cannot change. But if the patient DOES go to one of them and finds they can't deliver, that would be profoundly embarrassing. So the doctor gets yet another chance. Fear of humiliation from defying the conventional wisdom keeps a lot of people from seeking alternatives.

Because she is trying to hear God's voice among the storm of life.
Because we might have missed something the first time through.
Why do people read from a book they've read from before?
Yes, it is, and I can say that Christianity stands alone.

Because they think that all things known, will be known, done or will be done are mentioned in that book. This because they are indoctrinated and no longer have true ability to think, and now they are slaves to a fictional Jesus and the big magician in the sky.

the Bible holds nothing but truth. If read with a prayer to understand what is being read, it will become clear. It's the "other" books that confuse everyone.

All other books are written by men.
The Bible was written by men THROUGH the inspiration of the Holy Spirit!
