Jabberwoky, of course we're getting ripped off. All that intel and dripping a little water up a terrorists nose gets the results.

If your wife, child or gay lover were taken by a terrorist, sexual predator or serial pediphile, and you had the guy in your hands would kindly ask where your loved one is or would you make him tell you?

Not controversial enough for the News Media. Controversy sells the medias medium and more sells make more $$$ for the owners of that particular News medium.

You don't get it. The US Congress has no jurisdiction in Iraq (or it shouldn't). It doesn't mean that it's fine to torture in Iraq. But it's Iraq's problem (or should be).

On the other hand, torture in US soil (I don't like to consider Guantanamo as part of it but I guess I have no choice in this case) is in the jurisdiction of the US justice. And by members of the US government (paid by taxpayers) it's jurisdiction of the US Congress.

Your position is that THEY are SO bad that it's totally justified to torture if you do it just a little less "blood splattered". In the name of freedom...

I'd like you to consider it from a practical point of view too. You're paying taxes (I'm on a limb here, just a guess) to support the biggest intelligence apparatus in the history of mankind. Whatever it is in terms of manpower, electronic gadgets, satellite surveillance, you name it, they've got it. But when it comes down to get information, they just take it by torturing prisoners? Don't you feel like they're ripping you off?

Never happen. That would be asking them to take the hard path. See, by and large, Americans don't care what's happening in Iraq. But, Congress can tout the mistakes America makes, and people eat it up.

I don't care what we do to terrorists as long as the end result is that it saves innocent lives. Whether they be American , Iraqi or Wallakunitibistaneese (hard to make up a place like that)

Yes, I saw the torture chamber on Fox News, the only place where truth can be told.

sounds good to me! I like the eye for an eye rule and wish we could do these things. But we don't want the world to be mad at us........ To late!
