Yes, this is a core belief. The Mormon church teaches that we are ALL spirit brothers of Jesus, Lucifer included. For LDS members, this is a simple fact, so it's something that they may even overlook when talking to others about their religion. Many won't be aware that other Christian denominations do not believe this.
Why is this idea so hard for people to accept? It's one of the reasons many christians say mormons can't be called christians... but how does that follow? What definition of Christianity defines what spirit brothers Jesus did or did not have?

Yes. Spirit brothers whose characters and purposes are completely opposed. LDS believe that all of us are children of Our Heavenly Father (God).
On first hearing, the doctrine that Lucifer and our Lord, Jesus Christ, are brothers may seem surprising to some—especially to those unacquainted with latter-day revelations. But both the scriptures and the prophets affirm that Jesus Christ and Lucifer are indeed offspring of our Heavenly Father and, therefore, spirit brothers. Jesus Christ was with the Father from the beginning. Lucifer, too, was an angel “who was in authority in the presence of God,” a “son of the morning.” (See Isa. 14:12; ) Both Jesus and Lucifer were strong leaders with great knowledge and influence. But as the Firstborn of the Father, Jesus was Lucifer’s older brother. (See Col. 1:15; )

Oh a question withh spirit brother and not just brother...
It's Mormon or LDS church. When this question is given a church spokesman said it is in a way to smear the church because only people who smear the church ask this question.
We all are spirit brothers and sisters of our elder brother and Lord Jesus Christ and yes Lucifer before he fell from heaven.
The people who smear the church like to put it like:
"Are they brothers meaning Jesus and Lucifer?"
Because the rest of Christiandom don't believe in the pre existance and have a different meaning when that question is asked that way.

So many experts of Mormonism out there who are also not Mormon. Best to get your water from the source and not way down stream on this one.
Best sources: lds.org

Mormons believe that we all lived in a pre-mortal existence prior to coming to this earth. We all lived with God in that place. Among those there, of course, were many of the great ones like Moses, Adam, Noah, etc.
There was a grand council discussed about how earth life would be, what the purpose of it was, etc.
Lucifer (Satan) proposed a plan where he would force us all to believe in God, and that everyone born would be guaranteed a return back to heaven. Yet, he wanted all of the glory for it.
Christ presented a plan whereby we would come to earth, learn, grow develop by faith, and that we would have a Savior redeem us from our errors, sins, and shortcomings. With Christ's plan, he would provide that sacrifice and atonement that was necessary. And, Christ would give all glory to God the father.
As we all lived in this pre -mortal life, we were all spirits yet to receive a physical body at birth here on earth. Likewise, we were all the spiritual offspring of God.
See Acts 17: 28-29
As the spiritual offspring of God, that would make us all spiritual brothers and sisters.

I've never heard of the "Morman," church, but I'm sure you meant to write Mormon.
There is no "Mormon," church. The proper name of the church you are referring to is called, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The members of the church are properly called, Latter-days Saints, and the term Mormon best describes a man in their scriptures who was an ancient prophet.
As for your question:
Mormons believe in Jesus Christ and in God. These two personages work as one to save mankind.
God created all mankind, and first and foremost their spirit.
Since we were created by the same God father, our spiritual nature towards each other is to be brothers and sisters. If God created Jesus, he also created Lucifer, and therefore are two creations, as mankind, who have a familial link to God and therefore are spiritually brothers having being created by one God.
This goes with the idea that God, is not Jesus - as some other churches' doctrine preach.
God is THE God, the creator of all things, including Jesus Christ who is our spiritual brother in this LDS perspective.

The "underpants" you communicate of is the temple garment that's an outward expression of an inner dedication. it is a tangible reminder of the sacred covenants we've made in the abode of the Lord. i like to think of of the garment simply by fact the Lord’s way of letting us participate of the temple with us as quickly as we flow away. it is actual that we characteristic from the Lord’s abode stimulated teachings and sacred covenants written in our minds and hearts. in spite of the shown fact that, the single tangible remembrance we characteristic with us back into the international is the garment. And in spite of the shown fact that we won't be able to continually be in the temple, a factor of it may continually be with us to bless our lives. The link below talks especially approximately this garment.

It's Mormon, no 'a'. We teach that all of us are spirit brothers and sisters. That also includes Jesus and the Devil.
