Hey Guys ,

i have a 1MB DSL connection , on my desktop it shows Speed as 100Mbps , its much faster (connected on a wired network). can i get the same speed on my laptop wireless connection 100Mbps? it only shows as 54.0 Mbps.

I Got Wireless N Linksys . and im using new FZ laptop. i want to get on my laptop full connection speed as my desktop wired connection. 100mbps not 54 :)

Thanks guys , just found out. that the problem , isnt from my router its from my laptop wireless card only support 54.Mbps :(.

Regardless of how fast your wireless connection is you are only going to get 1Mbit out anyway, which is what is provided to you by your DSL provider. If you want a higher wireless connection Wireless-N would do it for you, although there would really be no advantage to doing it (unless you just like spending money for no reason).

You will need the faster 108Mbs G router and card to get faster than 54mbps, whcih is what regular G routers and cards give you
