How else would i have populated the world? there were only two of us...then Eve had two sons...it was hard to find a girl to even cheat on for a while there. thankfully, we eventually had some girls.

How can incest be wrong if God commanded we populate the world that way?

anyone see my wife?

Man, oh, man. I cannot wait to see the defense for this. What I have seen already is laughable!

It's a common biblical misconception that Adam and Eve were the only people that God created, and by extension we are all a result of continuous incest through the centuries. In reality, the bible states that Adam was created on the third day (Genesis 2:7) before the beasts and fowl (Genesis 2:18,19) while the rest of the human race was created on th sixth day to populate the earth (Genesis 1:26-28) after the beasts and fowl (Genesis 1:20-25). Adam, and by extension Cain and Seth, are the ancestors of god's chosen people, the Jews, not the entire population of the world. This is somewhat irrelevant to your topic, though, I just wanted to educate you a little on the story of Genesis.

On the subject of incest, although it has been common practice in innumeral societies throughout history where incest was common practice, in modern society incest is frowned upon not because it is forbidden by the bible, and it isn't, but because of the new understanding of the possibility of severe birth defects and because modern etiquette has very clear distinctions between what is proper in a sibling relationship and what is proper in a romantic relationship.

The first few generations after Creation and again after the Flood necessarily had to commit incest, but by the time of Moses, that became forbidden because it was beginning to create genetic problems, and there were more than enough people and genetic diversity by that time to make incest completely unnecessary.
Also, Adam and Eve didn't just have two sons; they kept cranking out kids long after Cain left the nest. So eventually he meets a woman; it's his sister, but he doesn't care because he didn't grow up with her.

this is a good point and a cornerstone to the BIG problem with the creation theory. basically if adam and eve had 2 sons that is the end of the human race right there. because even if their sons had have impregnated eve, the genetc mutations that would have arisien would have included mental retaradation and infertillity. therefore the human race would have become extinct in 2 generations. this is where the whole idea of genesis falls severly flat.

...Actually, the Bible states that when Cain was banished, he went to the land of Nod and found a wife, doesn't it?

Wouldn't this indicate that though Adam and Eve were the first humans, they weren't the only ones?

That was before sin came into the world - your genetics were perfect - mine arent!

Besides Adam had many many children - and never slept with anyone but Eve. His children took wives from among their sisters, it's true.

Home boy, you also realize that the Bible says that there was another group of people that magically spawned out of the ground (or so it seems) that Cain went to go live with, right?

Its a genetic thing, family members can pass along serious medical problems.

I doubt if you will ever find a wife or even if you have a present one.

I don't know why I think it's wrong, maybe I base it on the fact that I've never seen a lioness start f*cking her cubs, or any other animal in nature, that is.

Humans are messed up.

Because there are 5 billion people to choose from these days instead of just Eve.
