Girls like to get engaged any time but Christmas is romantic and with that ring you don't have to get much more

It depends on the girl. Some people like to keep it low key, not in the center of attention. Congradulations!

My husband got me a 3 carat ring; 3 diamonds in the middle with 3 diamonds on each side and 2 inside the band. My ring design is quite unique. A total of 11 diamonds with 6 heart shapes right below the 3 big diamonds in the middle. The band is white gold. The sales person said white gold looks better because it's shinier.

Take it from a girl that got engaged last CHRISTMAS.... NO. Pick another day! I broke off the engagement... and even knowing I'm the one that did it... this Christmas doesn't feel right and Christmas is my favorite time of year. PLUS, what if she says no? Christmas will suck for both of you! OR WORSE... what if she just says yes because you did indeed propose at X mas and she didn't want to F up the holiday. NO NO NO... pick another day! From a girls stand point... any holiday is a bad idea.

I got cornered on a mountain with champagne. I asked for Dr. Pepper, instead. It's lovely and romantic, if the girl wants it. If she doesn't, there's no amount of diamonds and platinum. He picked the perfect spot, had the accoutrements and I didn't want the ring. If it's the right question, no other gift will be needed and it won't compare. If it's the wrong question, she'll just want to depart, anyway. No gifts necessary.

That would be more an enough for me and getting engaged on Christmas day or Christmas Eve is always sweet. To be on the safe side, you may want to get her another smaller gift too, something fun. Best wishes!

Yes, I think Christmas day is a sweet touch for engagement. A true love won't care so much about the ring, just knowing that it signifies your commitment to her is enough.

i would HATE to be proposed to on christmas. but that's just me. a lot of ppl do get engaged on christmas. sounds like a very nice ring. i think you could probably get away with not getting her anything. tell her what you bought was ordered online and it didn't arrive on time. then she wont expect anything and miht be a little disappointed. then you can give her the ring and she will be so elated that she'll forget about anythign else.

I'd love to get either engaged or married on Christmas day or both. It would be sooo romantic especially if it snowed. Get her a nice necklace to match the ring. =] x

I personally would love it. You're surrounded by friends & family & everyone can bask in the glory of love! I can't think of anything to go along with it, but might I suggest that if you're NOT surrounded by family & friends, that you tie a bow around your naked body...I'll let you use your imagination from here. LOL! Congratulations!

A ring is enough, as long as you show her that you love her. But, I would want to be engaged on Valentine's Day. That would be so sweet.
