okay. so i have liked this guy who doesn't know i live for a while now.
i know him through friends and other things so he's always on my mind. i don't know how he can hurt me so bad... and yet make me feel so great at the same time.i feel like i need to stop dreaming,and the new year seems like a great time.
so where and how do i begin to get over him?

I am totally going through the same thing. I have liked this guy for 3 years and I haven't talked to him for the last 2 years. I feel trapped by all these feelings I have for him. I don't know what to do about them. It is not healthy to be constantly thinking about one guy especially if you are not with him. I like to journal and write down my feelings and thoughts. It helps me organize my thoughts. Pray and ask God to take away these feelings. Put your mind on other things. Spend time with your friends. Meet new guys. Ask him to go to a movie, nothing too much like a date you don't want to rush it and if you become friends you'll actually get to know each other better. After a while if you still have feelings for him go for it! I wouldn't recommend actually asking if he wanted to go on a date or whatever. It seems like a perfect time to get a boyfriend and I like to look at the bright side but lets face it, life isn't always the bright side, its reality. I don't want you to be hurt in the joyous time of year. hope everything turns out right! Happy Holidays!

Why not ask your friends for a hook up? Or at least ask them if he's interested in you. You seem to be giving up before you've even tried.
