This question has already been asked, but I would like to get some more responses for myself. If you have served and have been involved in a war, I would highly value your comment. If you know of anyone who has been involved in a war, would you ask them the same question and let me know? I thank you and appreciate your comments.

Off course not. Its a universal fact, that one loves from others mistake, this fact is the only principal applied during the war games be it WW2 or any historical war game. The pincer movement was first used by Babar the Mogul King when the the first war of Panipat was fought between Abrahim Lodi and Babar. It was later used in the Capture of Dhaka during 1971.

If a game is historically accurate, then I see no problem with it.

If the game tries to trivialize it or becomes to politically correct, then it could be disrespectful.

The thing with video games is that they do keep the interest alive in those histrical event. Not all, but some people playing those games do go pick up a book to read about the real thing too. Expecially if the game presents it in an interesting way.

No. They are just so inaccurate in their portrayals that they give the user a false impression. Dale Dye is an old acquaintance of mine. But, his being a technical advisor doesn't imbue the programmers with any sense of reality about combat either. Dale also served as the technical advisor for the movie "Platoon" and I kidded him about using recordings of military radio transmissions in the movie which were using Marine jargon, when the movie was about an Army unit. In his defense he said those were the only tapes he had available. Enjoy the games. Just don't think they are real.

Not at all is it disrespectful! I think it help pays tribute to the men and women that put there lives on the line for our freedom. As a vet I play the games and think to myself what it would've been like to be around then and what war was like back then.

N O, in a way, a game would be a honor for the Men and Women who served, because it would
be like a memorial to the wars!!
