If any immigrant commits a violent crime, the Swiss government deports the entire family from the country. It also counts against that group ground looking to become citizens. They recently banned any construction of mosque minarets. Their campaign poster is three white sheep roaming on a Swiss-flag delimited area kick out a black sheep (see the link below). Do you think this is good or bad?

Mass immigration is no answer to world poverty and is a disaster for the hard working Swiss who have taken centuries to build a rich organised country

If an illegal immigrant commits a serious violent crime, then I think it's ok to deport them and their parents and spouse. Because the parents are largely responsible for how their kids turned out, and the spouse chose that person. But I don't think they should also deport the person's adult siblings and kids, since those people aren't responsible for how the criminal turned out.
Underage siblings and kids would have to go too. That wouldn't really be fair to them, but underage people need to be with their parents.
Maybe that's how the law is already written. I'm not sure.

They have made 3 big mistakes. First, they should not have had a campaign poster based on bigotry. Second, banning legal immigration. Illegal entry is a different kettle of fish. Third, banning places of worship.
The great news is that they deport the families of those who commit violent crimes, as we all should. The US should do this without delay, even if these immigrants are here legally. We also cannot absorb all of the people applying for immigration. We need to limit it now.
It is easier for the Swiss, as they do not have the massive problem other countries have in Europe, and the US.

I've always admired Switzerland. All armed and battle ready if necessary but keep their noses out of others business. It seems like a great culture! I think it's their choice and not mine to say!

The Swiss approach is what the vast majority of indigenous Brits want. It just shows what being outside the PC community of Europe enables a sovereign country to achieve

I think the Swiss see the storm clouds of the Islamic attempted penetration of their country, far in the distance, and they're trying to head them off. They can see the destruction of England coming in the future, and they don't want it to happen to their country.

Deporting people for the crimes of their family members is unfair.
Banning construction of a particular religious building is also shocking for a democratic nation.

I think the US is a better nation than that. Come on, do you really honestly think that's fair or just?
And anyway, why would we want to follow in the footsteps of the Swiss? Granted, I love their cheese, but other than that... yawn...
