If someone says "I am a Christen." and does not act like Jesus, he or she deceive them self. Ones heart is what one really is. A man is known by his deeds.

"In the end, most atheists take a pragmatic view, and decide that anyone who calls himself a Christian, and uses Christian belief or dogma to justify his actions, should be considered a Christian. Maybe some of those Christians are just perverting Christian teaching for their own ends--but surely if the Bible can be so readily used to support un-Christian acts it can't be much of a moral code? If the Bible is the word of God, why couldn't he have made it less easy to misinterpret? And how do you know that your beliefs aren't a perversion of what your God intended?
If there is no single unambiguous interpretation of the Bible, then why should an atheist take one interpretation over another just on your say-so? Sorry, but if someone claims that he believes in Jesus and that he murdered others because Jesus and the Bible told him to do so, we must call him a Christian."

I think that some things should be accepted based on faith, such as this, however if someone is an atheist, then there is a reason, and that is usually because they want proof for the existence of God before accepting any of it as truth. I don't blame them, however there are some that will reject any proof given to them, regardless of how much truth it displays.

In the absence of any other concrete evidence, I would have to accept your word. I can't see you, and I don't know anyone who knows you and can verify or deny your story.
Ditto with someone who says that s/he is a Christian. Until they prove otherwise, I tend to take them at face value. And even then, I defer final judgment to the only One Who knows the human heart and can say for sure.

I believe you!
But I once heard just cause a person might be born in a green house doesn't make them a tomato.
Same as: just because someone may go to church; it does not mean it makes that person a Christian.

I would think that YOU believe you are a rainbow colored unicorn with a solid gold horn, at least.
"Eh! Just another crazy, so what."
That's what I'd think, and move on.

Only if it was written down in a book by someone else who spoke a different language than you.
And then subsequently edited, mistranslated, revised, transcribed a few times and edited again.
Actually nah, I would want proof, skeptical bastard that I am.

I agree. Religion is designed to keep everybody on one brain wave length. It was necessary in the past to keep peace among the lesser evolved man, but we're getting smarter and only weak minded people turn to an imaginary father figure to keep them in line. It's time to think for yourselves, People!

I've seen people on drugs who've seen way more cool things than a multi-colored unicorn....doesn’t mean it was there now does it. BUT, if you ask them they still claim they did see somthing.
FAITH is all I need, I dont need to know if ANYONE else has faith to justify my own faith

"Just because some says they are something doesn't make it so..."
My exact arguement when talking to those who tell me that God is self-proclaimed as such and that the Bible which was written by men is the word of God.
