Monotheism is the belief that there is one god. Evidence for one is evidence for hundreds, so there's no point to monotheism.

LabGirl does have a point. I don't want to be rude...but Christianity has been at fault for some major atrocities in the historical sense.
For a religion that is - in essence - nothing more than an amagamation of (majority) Pagan belief systems and ideals, they can be very intolerant. Christians only believe in one God, but one of the very 10 commandments (THOU SHALT NOT WORSHIP ANY OTHER GOD), references in the seven plagues of Egypt, etc...even then it allows and even mentions beliefs in other gods...
I have nothing against the individual level with moderation, that is their belief - and to be fair, if it works for them, then for me it is right for them - but I'll never trust the religion on an organised front. The Bible is ultimately hideously contradictory both to itself and the religion as a whole.
But I wouldn't say it was the "meanest"... ;). A good majority of christians are actually pretty good people, but the minority can ruin it for the majority sadly. Take the World Trade Centre...does that make ALL muslims terrorists? Far from it, that's just a minority.
And Jesus did have some damned good moral teachings and ideals, for his time he was a radical, a man coming from a very different place...accepting and passive as a person. A religion based on those ideals is a cool belief system, when done properly, sincere and honest...but the Bible is too open to personal subjective opinions, manipulation, etc. As with any written word. Undoubtedly you'll get the bad apples...but that doesn't account for the religion as a whole mind.
Just my opinion

Christianity is the most consistent of all religions with its texts. If God is real and His book (i.e., the Bible) says these things, then the "meanness" should not attributed to Christians, but to God.
For the record, the Bible doesn't tell people to convert to the God of the Bible, it says that men are sinners (ever lied? ever stolen? ever lusted? ever coveted? etc.) and should repent with contrition over their sin and trust in Jesus, in very nature God, who came to take on the penalty of that sin by dying on the cross as a sinless human.
Not worshipping any other God seems reasonable to me for an all-powerful God to require assuming that He is the only one like that. The Bible states that He is. So either it is reasonable and the Bible is right - or it is unreasonable and the Bible is wrong. If the Bible is right, it cannot be unreasonable.
All other religions are wrong: One of the tenets of Christianity is that all men are to come to God through Jesus Christ and no other means. Either Christianity is right and that must be adhered to - or Christianity is wrong and then it does not matter (unless one subscribes to another monotheistic religion).
"The fool"... It is apparent to me that one must remove his or her rational mind to believe that the earth evolved or came together by chance. There are too many intricate designs within creation (including humans, just examine the human eye, for instance) for it not to be created by an Intelligent Designer. This logic flow does not lead one to believe that the Intelligent Designer is the God of the Christian Bible, but it does lead one to believe that there is some Being capable of creating the world.
You'll likely disagree with the above and aren't really looking for answers truly (rather, just trying to incite Christians), but there are your Biblical answers. Grace be with you.

"What other leader EVER did the kind of miracles that Jesus did-especially rising from the dead?" Moses. Who cares about walking on water or conjuring money in the belly of a fish. That's simple street magic. Parting an entire sea - now THAT'S impressive!

Haha.
From what ive heard, christianity isnt all that different from some other strict religions, altho im not positive on this, but many feel strongly about their god and their rules, and others shouldnt be followed or even thought of....idk though, to call it the "meanest" i couldnt say.. i really at this point in my life dont follow any religion. ppl can believe whatever they want, as long as they dont literally force me to believe it, or hurt anyone, and they have pretty good intentions in there life.

Nope. It's up there I suppose, but not the meanest. And actually the original message from Jesus was nothing like that. Those are the things he spoke against which got him nailed to a cross as a heretic. It's just morphed back into what he was fighting against. I find an odd irony in that.....

No, I think it's the one that flew airplanes into the World Trade Center murdering 3,000 people and the one that preaches and encourages murder in the name of God. Also, it is illegal and punishable by death to convert to any other religion in most Islamic countries. And forgot about drawing cartoons of the most high prophet Muhammed. These people have the sense of humor of the Waffen SS.

I wouldn't put that burden on the whole religion. That's like saying that all muslims are terrorists.
There are some mean hearted Christians, and they will have to answer for that.
Jesus tells us to love one another. Easier said than done I will admit, but still--a commandment of Jesus.

Religion itself attracts less spiritually developed people. Because they don't have it going on in the inside, they need to look to the outside. Well human beings are going to manipulate other human beings this dependent on outside forces--for their own purposes.

It's not okay for Christians to say that about anyone else. People who take it upon themselves to self-righteously judge who's going to Heaven and who isn't, is almost certainly in violation of Christian doctrine by elevating themselves to the role of God.
ergo, Christians who bash are hypocrites. and I see a lot of them.

You are quoting from the Old Hebrew Testament of the Bible.
This is the basis of all Abrahamic or monotheistic religions.
This is not 'mean'; it's advice from a loving G*D to all.
There can be only one G*D by definition.
