ok i have 2 bunnies a female dutch and a male lionhead...but this morning i saw my dutch get on top of my lionhead.i thought the dutch was biting but they were really mating!!! but then i realized the boy has to be on the top so my dutch was really a male and my lionhead was really a female. that meant the pet store lied and said that they were 3 weeks old when i got them, and they were really about 2 MONTHS old....and that my dutch was a female and my lionhead was a male. i was going to get them spayed in a couple of weeks bc now they were supposed to be too young to mate...i have no idea about bunny pregnancy what do i do?!?!?! PLEASE HELP ME IM LOST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, you said you did some research but I don't know how much so I'm just gonna tell you what I know. The gestation period is 28-32 days for a rabbit so count that many days from when you saw them mate and mark the calendar. Separate the two rabbits now to prevent more litters (a rabbit can have multiple litter inside her because they have a duplex uterine horn). Rabbits pull fur out of themselves before giving birth so that is usually a clue she's close to having her babies. Give your rabbit a nest box to have the babies in, use timothy hay for bedding. When you rabbit has her babies, make sure they stay together so they don't freeze. Most rabbits will know what to do when they have babies but some don't so keep an eye on them. Make sure their bellies are full, and they are urinating. Baby rabbits open their eyes at around 10 of age, and begin hearing around the same time. Separate the boys and girls of the litter from each other around 5-6 weeks old to prevent unwanted pregnancies.
I hope this helps a little. Talk to breeders, they will give you the best information.
P.S.
After your female has her litter, don't put her and the male back together even if they are spayed/neutered. They will probably fight!

I went to the animal rescue to get a male rabbit, but they only had females. So I got a female rabbit... It turns out that it is a male rabbit. You really couldn't tell until after puberty.
I have had rabbits before and I got a second opinion at the rescue but they still though it was female. It is often really hard to tell with rodents.
Depending on what stage of pregnancy the vet might be able to terminate it. especially if the bunny is too young. On that note you might find that (even though the male is ready) that the female might not be pregnant.
It would also be a good idea to get the male fixed, at they can me very cruel to females if it continues to try and mate

I raised bunnies when I was a lot younger. At that time the vet couldn't even tell what sex they were because their equipment was so small.
Anyway, you could have two males, or a male and a female.
If they have mated, it takes about a month for the babies to be born.
How do you know they are 2 months old?
The mother should know what to do if she is pregnant. Also we had one young mother that we thought wasn't feeding the babies since we didn't see her. We brought in a young vet and he proceeded to accidentally kill 2 of the babies with trying to feed them with tubes. When she had her second batch we left her alone, she did take to feeding them.
We gave her a box with newspaper on the bottom it to have her babies in, just like we would a cat. Bunnies are naturally potty trained. If there not, try putting feces in a litter box and see if they don't continue to use it. Bunnies do like to chew on wires so be careful.

OMG! IT looks like your going to have some baby bunnies soon~ Just in time for Easter!
But seriously~I would go back to the pet store and complain to management about them lying about the gender of the rabbits and see if they offer to do anything. If not you can always report them to the Better Business Bureau.

Rabbits are fragile with anesthetic, more are lost in operations than you'd think.
It looks like you'll have baby bunnies, I'd seperate the two rabbits right now, let her have the litter and find homes for them, then just keep them both separated.

If you don't spay or neauter them they will produce like fire. Haven't you ever heard that saying about that? They won't get internal bleeding, why did you think that? Plus, don't get all your information from asking cyber people, do some research too, you never know...
