Jesus did his proportion of reviling yet you does no longer discover him in the village sq. with a protest sign. He became right into a comfortable instructor to the uncomplicated guy. The reviling became into for those in authority. (I confess that I merely examine that from different commenters). He pronounced human beings as sheep or goats. He on no account pronounced as human beings 'heretics' or 'rebels'. He enable human beings come to a determination for themselves which one they have been in each and every representation. And yet another difficulty, it would have been silly for him to be a attractiveness-caller through fact he himself became into an merchandise of scorn for in seek of reform and not following nicely-known practices as illustrated in the coolest Samaritan delusion. it quite is unhappy that some Christians think of that it somewhat is an effective sort of preaching. It in many cases leads human beings to 'decrease back away' much extra. some church homes invite non-church goers to proportion a turkey dinner and then point out that possibly you're a revolt in case you do no longer attend their church and that they ask your self why their attendance on no account grows. merely through fact a guy or woman can quote scripture and sound like they know what they're speaking approximately, it nevertheless does not cause them to extra advantageous than all of us else.

There already are churches that accept atheists. They're called Universalist Unitarians. Of course, only a very tiny percentage of atheists have interest in such a thing.

For that matter, there are plenty of atheist organizations out there for atheists who simply want the networking privileges.

Did you ever stop and thing that the congrational approach doesn't work for everybody?

I believe, it's not the "Love of Jesus", that you present to them, but the hidden-politics and agenda's underlying most-organized religious-hierarchies and the like.

If you really are concerned with love, a six-sided building shouldn't matter, no matter who turns to attend, wether be inside that very building or the outside.

Be patient with yourself, though dear friend, for I was once in your shoes as well.

Patience and love brother, first to us heathens, then to the Christian. Patience and Love..

I wonder if this was produced by placing monkeys in front of typewriters for a period of time and then picking any sentence fragments from the mess.

we don't 'blame' anyone for anything. Religions and facists do that.

What would be the point in a church of atheism? what would we do there? sing anti-hymns?

We atheists all have different opinions anyway, that's because we use our brains and we don't follow the bells like blind sheep.

Here are a few quotes regarding religion from one of our founding fathers and US President, Thomas Jefferson.

Millions of innocent men, women and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt, tortured, fined and imprisoned; yet we have not advanced one inch towards uniformity.
-Thomas Jefferson, Notes on Virginia, 1782

But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods or no God. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg.
-Thomas Jefferson, Notes on Virginia, 178

Question with boldness even the existence of a god; because if there be one he must approve of the homage of reason more than that of blindfolded fear.
-Thomas Jefferson, Letter to Peter Carr, August 10, 1787
___________________________________
Where the preamble declares, that coercion is a departure from the plan of the holy author of our religion, an amendment was proposed by inserting "Jesus Christ," so that it would read "A departure from the plan of Jesus Christ, the holy author of our religion;" the insertion was rejected by the great majority, in proof that they meant to comprehend, within the mantle of its protection, the Jew and the Gentile, the Christian and Mohammedan, the Hindoo and Infidel of every denomination.
-Thomas Jefferson, Autobiography, in reference to the Virginia Act for Religious Freedom

Christianity neither is, nor ever was a part of the common law.
-Thomas Jefferson, letter to Dr. Thomas Cooper, February 10, 1814

I concur with you strictly in your opinion of the comparative merits of atheism and demonism, and really see nothing but the latter in the being worshipped by many who think themselves Christians.
-Thomas Jefferson, letter to Richard Price, Jan. 8, 1789 (Richard Price had written to TJ on Oct. 26. about the harm done by religion and wrote "Would not Society be better without Such religions? Is Atheism less pernicious than Demonism?")
___________________________________

I never submitted the whole system of my opinions to the creed of any party of men whatever in religion, in philosophy, in politics, or in anything else where I was capable of thinking for myself. Such an addiction is the last degradation of a free and moral agent.
-Thomas Jefferson, letter to Francis Hopkinson, March 13, 1789
___________________________________
They [the clergy] believe that any portion of power confided to me, will be exerted in opposition to their schemes. And they believe rightly; for I have sworn upon the altar of god, eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man. But this is all they have to fear from me: and enough, too, in their opinion.
-Thomas Jefferson to Dr. Benjamin Rush, Sept. 23, 1800
___________________________________
Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between man and his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legislative powers of government reach actions only, and not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should 'make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,' thus building a wall of separation between church and State.
-Thomas Jefferson, letter to Danbury Baptist Association, CT., Jan. 1, 1802

An atheist church would be an oxymoron. And athiest don't hate Christians, in as much as they dislike religious influence ... influece which is often against our Constitution and has led our country into the many messes it is in today.

The atheist is often the person being labeled "a monster" or "evil" because of their refusal of belief in a deity based heirarchy.

They are attached for not believing, most often by Christians, because they feel so attacked by such a stance personified.

While I am an Athiest, I do like the Jewish faith, for no other reason that when I tell them I am an Atheist.. there is no "instant hate" that I feel from other devout sects. They are not under the guise that they have to spread their belief as Christians seem to be. And I thank them for it.

Because that would make us just like you. No thanks.

And you'd have us thank you for the enslavement of your religion just so we could experience freedom? LOL! Do you even think about what you're posting, or do you just post it to see what sticks?
