Maybe they don't want to take responsibility for the dog. Maybe they are using this excuse to get rid of the dog.
I feel for you. I have 2 minature daushunds myself.

I really feel for you.
You don't say how or why the dog bit your sister.
You could talk to your parents about getting a dog behaviorist to train the dog not to bite; but I don't know whether this is a real option in your case.
The thing is, people come first. We can't let our pets hurt people. The dog doesn't understand, but we can't help that.
If your parents have decided that this dog is dangerous, and you can't convince them to keep it, you have to accept that.
There are a lot of really good dogs that get put to sleep only because nobody wants them. Maybe you could rescue one of those.
Go ahead and cry for a couple of days. You are grieving. But then, try to look to the future.

I am so sorry that your are losing your dog. Is he sick, and the bite was due to him being in pain? Is he aggressive with behavioural issues? If your family does not know how to manage your dog's behaviour, really only an animal behaviouralist will be of any assistance to you. Unfortunately, too many people see putting an animal to sleep as the only alternative. I wish you well.

Eh, hide your dog.. You shouldn't put the dog asleep, until he bites 2 times.. That is really the limit.. :(
They have no right to kill you DOG!
IT isn't right, and they shouldn't do that..

See if they will let you give it away to a friend...
Putting him to death is very cruel unless it was a severe bite
