Once a week someone will bring their dog into the office. I do not have a dog but I have a pet snake. I don't think this is fair, it should be called, "bring your pet to work day" and allow any animal to come to work for the day? I think it's discriminatory towards other animals not to include them in the fun. Yes people may be afraid of my snake but one girl in the office is afraid of dogs but she deals with it. The office is large and I can just imagine all the exercise my snake will get. How do I convince my boss to let my pet have some fun as well?

Bring you pet to work days are a bad idea. I have a dog and would not take him to my office. Dogs do not always get along with each other and that is a disaster waiting to happen. What about people with allergies? I am alergic to cats and would have an issue with a cat in the office. I understand you point about your snake and you are right... it should be about pets. The problem is, if I have a pet chicken and someone else has a pet horse, you with your snake and someone else with a rat, something bad is bobd to happen. Hurt feelings are just the start.
Now, if you rais a stink, you will be called a killjoy, but what about liability for the company? It should be banned across the board...

Dogs are social pets that your other coworkers may enjoy. Snakes? Not traditionally. If you really want to whine about it, ask around, sign a petition, or waste your WORK time in other ways. Discriminating against animals is different than people so get over yourself and your creepy pet.

Dogs are intelligent animals with a personality. Personality goes a long way as Jules in Pulp Fiction says. Your snake would have to have a whole lot more personality then that Arnold Ziffel in Green acres had to bring him to the office.
Sigfried and Roy had white tigers they brought to their version of the office. As I remember one of them mauled Roy. I don't think big dogs should be in the office either.

"I am tired of these F**N Snakes on this Plane!"

Have you asked them and they've refused, or are you just assuming they won't allow your snake? Just tell them (or sign-up or however you do it) that you're going to bring your snake next week because you haven't had a turn yet. I would bring and keep him in a travel-cage though...he could get lost or injured in the office if allowed to roam unsupervised!

Edit: I agree that snakes are not social animals (even with their own kind!) and he/she would probably prefer to be at home anyway.

yeah I would have a panic attack if someone brought their snake I hope someone chops its head off if you bring it... no one in their right mind would bring a vicious dog to work so why should you get to bring a snake that might mistake a foot for a rabit? I know I am not the only one here afraid of snakes

Snakes are not social animals like dogs. Your snake would probably prefer to be left the heck alone. Besides, if you start complaining, you'll ruin it for everyone else. Suck it up, sister. You can play with your snake at home.

Your company sounds pretty nice but a snake does not have the appeal to the general public

Cry discrimination. That usually gets them to listen. I'm glad I don't work there. I'm allergic to dogs. I wouldn't be very efficient in that work environment. What if you promise to keep the snake in a tank or something?

in case you signed the lease announcing "No canine" then you definately can truthfully be kicked out of the home for bringing the Rottweiler into the place of residing. you may consult with administration and component out that others have canine and notice in case you will get particular permission, in spite of the shown fact that it is notably no longer likely. As an proprietor of a Rottweiler i understand that it is extremely complicated to locate leases which will enable great canine, greater specificially breeds that have the unlucky acceptance of being "risky." in the experience that your Rotti is something like mine and all others I even have encountered, he/she is greater in all possibility to lick somebody to dying than to chew them, yet regrettably the prevalent public would not understand that and can quite sensationalize and decide based on the undesirable ones that are obtainable.
