Why should you think like that?
Muslims & Christians are the same human beings, just that they believe in different thought of their religion.
We should never hate anyone who has different opinion with us!

Decide for yourself, this is what their Qur'an says about it.
Sura (5:51) - "O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people."
Sura (3:28) - "Let not the believers Take for friends or helpers Unbelievers rather than believers: if any do that, in nothing will there be help from Allah..."
Sura (9:23) - "O ye who believe! Choose not your fathers nor your brethren for friends if they take pleasure in disbelief rather than faith. Whoso of you taketh them for friends, such are wrong-doers" Even family members are not to be taken as friends if they do not accept Islam. (This is the mildest interpretation of this verse from the 9th Sura, which also advocates "slaying the unbeliever wherever ye find them").
I would say if a Muslim truly follows his instruction from the Qur'an then they must hate Christian and Jew alike.

Straight question!
For what I know,they should not because they were told by God in the Quran to respect people with holy books like Christians and Jews.
But I think that the hate may come from that each side wants to prove to the other that their religion is the true one accepted by God while the other religion is the false one.
After the invasion of Andalus (Spain now) by the Christians (Fernando and Isabella),a massive imigration movements took place because the Muslims and the Jews living there were forced to choose between conversion to Christianity or leaving their country.Many of them(both Jews and Muslims) imigrated to the North Africa because they wanted to keep their religions.

Muslims, as a whole, do not hate Christians. Just as Christians, as a whole, don't hate Muslims. It's impossible to make a wide generality like that. While some Muslims hate Christians in general it is definitely not true for all.

It is lie that Muslims hate all Christians because of their religion. Christians living in middle east under Muslim rule have no problem. Whoever complains that he is persecuted by Muslims because of his religion is lying simply to get visa of USA or European country.
Today Muslims may be feeling hatred against Americans and Israelies because of their occupation of Muslim countries.

Muslims do not hate Christians. Muslims do not hate Jews. Maybe the previous statement will clarify things for another asker who is 'curious'. It takes way more energy to hate than to not hate. Its too much bad weight on a person's chest and mind. I believe people who hate and keep hating are hating themselves or something about them. That term is just too harsh. The meaning of it is even more harsh.

Nah, I have a lot of christian friends. I just hate mainstream misconception about christianity which conflicts with the original customs of the true christians. Christians nowadays are a mix between christian/pagan.

I think the covert fanaticism of Christianity has the overt fanaticism of Islam scared and at it's wits end. They fear that USA might drom a N-bomb on them any day. Therefore, they are taking precautionary measures by propagating terrorism.
Terrorism will stop the day muslims and Christian clergy abdicate to the people. Till then, it's an ongoing comedy.

I honestly don't know....
I've met some shiite muslims who were nice to me until they seen that I was a Christian, and then they started being real mean, even though I had done nothing to provoke them...
so....who knows? Maybe it depends on what sect of islam they're in.

Muslims do not hate christians. Muslims believe in the fundamental beliefs and prophets of Christianity. It is Christianity that denounces Islam as a valid religion.
