Because He is not physically here. You can't feel Him either. You feel His spirit.

Are you kiddin'? My soul would perish if I could not sense God with all of my senses! What a waste a life would be if all one can touch is in the here and now. If you can't see, hear, taste, smell, feel God the reason isn't because He's not tangible or available, you aren't.

You can. I have seen the Holy Spirit and heard God or his messenger.
I have read God smells like the air when a rain storm is coming.

I hear the voice of God in my heart. I smell God in the morning rain. I taste God every time I eat fruit right off the tree.

The bible says that God is like the wind, you can't see Him or tell which direction He's going, but you can feel Him.

I'll be praying for you.

I see Him in the beautiful colors of the rainbow--the promise He gave to Noah never to flood the earth again.

I hear Him in the bird songs and other sounds of nature--He created all things to praise Him, and Jesus said if we don't praise Him even the rocks would cry out.

I taste Him in the sweetness of His word--the Bible says that His wisdom and truth is sweeter than the honeycomb.

I smell Him in the delicious smells of the foods He created, in the bouquets of flowers He created, in the salt air of the seashore, and even in the scent of new mown hay.

Every good gift comes from Him, along with our senses to be able to enjoy them. God is all around us, if you will open your spiritual eyes, ears, nose, and mouth you will be able to experience Him for yourself.

You can see him in anything you think is beautiful. You can hear him in the same way. As far as tasting and smelling... Can you taste and smell me? How do you know I'm really here?

You can't see him because he blends in with alot of old people and we all know they look the same so we probably do see him, just don't notice.
Can't hear him becasue people are asking him a million questions and favors, he keeps his mouth shut.
I heard he taste like chicken.
He smells like a nursing home but everything smells the same there so we can't detect if it is him or not.

If we can feel and hear wind, why can't we see it, taste it, or smell it?
If we know your brain is there, which now I'm not so sure if it is or not, why can't we see it, feel it, hear it, taste it, or smell it?
We don't PHYSICALY feel God. We feel spiritually. Like you when you feel that you have done something wrong. We DO hear him. We hear him in the voice of people trying to bring others to Him. We see him working in people's hearts and souls. We TASTE the spiritual water from Him that quenches our thirsty souls. We SMELL His sweet fragrance entering us as we do His will.
