To surrender means to do his will and not your own. It sounds awful, but once you do- your life will never be the same. You give him you self-will. This means to stop doing the things of the flesh that you did when you was a sinner, and live according to his word and law. Sure bad things happen to us all but when you have surrendered to God when something happens, you will find peace and comfort and he will take your cares away. And you will never feel alone.

Surrender is not a Bible word, for it applies neither to Law nor to Grace. True Jews would rather die than surrender to Grace. True Christians (of Christ is the end of the law) would rather die than surrender to Law.
But if you mean join, then, perhaps these may apply:
If to Law God, then "servants of corruption" comes to mind: 2Peter 2:19 "While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage".
If to Grace God, then "no more a servant, but a son" comes to mind: Galatians 4:7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son.
Personally I think God desires reconciliation, not surrender;
And reconciliation doesn't law impute any sin unto anyone.
Grace --> Mercy ---> Peace with you all. Amen.

It means that you accept Jesus Christ as your savior. You truly believe that He is the Son of God and that He died on the cross so that your sins could be forgiven. You then put Him in charge of your life. You trust Him and let Him guide you. You make Him the center of your life. Put Him first in all that you do. Pray for Jesus to guide you in the right direction and acknowledge Him in everything you do.
You say a prayer asking Jesus to come into your life. You admit that you are a sinner and need His forgiveness. You receive Jesus and live your life in a "Christ-like" way, giving up your sinful ways.

It's an emotional, romanticized idealism such that you believe yourself to "give up", "let go" and "fall into the Will of God", rather than live, act and behave responsibly and accountably for your thoughts and actions. "Surrendering to God" is an easy way out for people who do not want to take any initiative for themselves or others, chosing instead to pretend that they have surrendered their own will and have given it up to God.............as if God could use it.

Put the desires of your heart and eyes second to the Kingdom of the Messiah. You can build treasures on earth or in heaven. Out of your heart will bear the fruit of which treasures you store up. Shalom.

To hand your life over to him. It doesnt neccessarily mean you don't make your own choices but it does mean that you wil pray for guidance while making a choice. God will let you know what you're supposed to do. It's the meaning of the phrase"blind faith".

It means not only to surrender your reason to mythology; but to surrender your will to people who falsely claim to speak for Him; who will use His name to gain your trust so they can use you for their own purposes. It is the most pitiful form of suicide that exists.

It means to take yourself off the thorn and put God there. It is just like Jesus said, when he was being crucified. Not my will but your will be done.

Stop living the way you want to live and live for Christ. Do not be self centered, die to the self, and give your life over to God.

It simply means we are willing to allow God to direct our lives, entirely.
