I am not offended by anyone wearing a rosary as a necklace. I am slightly offended by anyone (even) having a rosary made out of anything expensive (like gold) because that I somehow find that contradictory to its purpose. However, I am not a catholic so maybe I am not even entitled to my view. Never underestimate the power of prayer.

Go to a Catholic bookstore- they always carry rosaries- even for the little ones.

in any Catholic and some Christian book shops. i got a set for a friends daughter - they were large and wooden and came with a wonderful book explaining the scriptures behind the mysteries in an easy story type manner.

look on the ewtn site under their catalog heading and then they will direct you to the rosaries---they have a ton of them and you might have to go to almost the very end but, they are there

Yes, you can buy them at most hospital gift shops. They have very nice ones and they aren't very expensive.
