Then wouldn't that apply to Hilary Clinton as well as far as being President of The United States?

This is a very good question. We only see this applied in the New Testament in a church setting and in the home, not in the secular world.

We must not forget women like Deborah and Esther of the Old Testament and their roles in leadership.

If we start applying this commandment of the NT to the secular world that means not only no women presidents but no women judges, police officers, senators or teachers as well.

As far as Hilary Clinton being president, we would still have to submit to her according to Romans 13:1-2.

Romans 13:1-2 (NKJV)
1 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.
2 Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.

Thankfully, church and state are separate. The Bible doesn't address whether or not a woman can have authority over a man in a secular government, only what should happen in *Church* government. Even this is highly debated amongst even conservative scholars since many think this was related to the customs of the time, rather than being an edict from God.

That said, I hope Obama wins the nod. I really don't know if I can vote for Hillary --- not because she's a lady, just because she gives me an ooky feeling, always has.

I do not agree with your statement. If a woman is qualified for the job, any job, then she deserves it. If she is more qualified than a man to do the job, then so be it. Men should not be upset. If they are, then go back to school and learn how to take that job position away from her.

It's not the middle ages anymore or the early 20th century.

What scares me is all the people who won't vote for HIllary. So who will they vote for then? The Obama guy? Equally as scary. Doesn't say much for him that he got the votes only because they didn't want to vote for Hillary.

The reasons Hilary Clinton should not be POTUS are many, and none of them have anything to do with her being a woman.

If a person should read the Bible correctly then they would know that men and woman are equal.

If they tell you men are the head, reply and say yes and woman the neck she can point him in any direction she chooses.

I believe the authority thing is between husband and wife, not man and woman. But I don't care if Hillary Clinton is a woman or a man. She is the scum of the earth and should NOT be elected.

The fact that she is using her womanhood in her campaign has put a lot of people off. Maybe the next female candidate will learn a lesson from her and not focus on the fact that she is a women.
