House Painting and Polishing floorboards?

Does anyone know, should I paint the inside of my house first, or should I polish the floor boards.........I can't work out which way will make it easier for me.....thanks for your time

Paint first. If any paint gets on the floor, it will have been a waste to have done the floor first.

Also, when you say polish, I hope you mean either refinish or clean. If you put something like a furniture polish (Pledge or something like that) on a hardwood floor, it will be slick as an ice rink and will build up over time, which will make it difficult to clean and/or refinish in the future. Never use anything more than a mild detergent and water on hardwood floors.
