I AM A HAIRDRESSER, DONT LISTEN TO THESE PEOPLE. THE ONLY REASON IT WOULD CAUSE ALOT OF DAMAGE IS IF IT WAS TO BE COLORED BLONDE, OR BLEACHED.... YOU CAN USE ONE OF THOSE BOX COLOR BROWNS IN THE GROCERY STORE OR WALMART WITH MINIMAL DAMAGE.... JUST REMEMBER TO USE THAT CONDITIONER PACKET AND LEAVE IT IN FOR AT LEAST FIVE MINUTES!!! GOOD LUCK!!!

it won't get damaged...my hair has a better texture now than when it was natural...i dye it dark brown... but bleach damages hair! when your brown starts fading... it will probably look redish b/c of the red dye under it..when it does just dye it with that same dark brown color again..

Listen to the hair dresser & ME! I dye my hair a lot (like every two weeks) as long as you are not "stripping" and/or "bleaching", you're good to go! If you're worried later on down the road about damage (not that this will cause it), you can get a deep conditioner and use that every two weeks.

Depending on the condition of your hair now, you should be fine. Your best bet is to try a semi-permanent hair color if you're going darker. They are usually very low in ammonia and not hard on your hair. As long as you're not lifting your color, those are the best to use for the least amount of damage to the hair. However it's always best to visit the pros!

definitely. if u have some money, go to a hairdresser, get the red dye stripped, and then dye it dark brown proffesionally. if ur short of money, i'd wait until it fades or ur hair grows out or at least a month or two until u dye it again.

browns wont damage your hair, blondes will. Its hard to get red out and its hard to color over red so don't be surprised if you have brown with red tones.
