Tips/hints
WATER
Drink lots of water! This can help boost your metabolism. Drinking water at meals will help you feel full and help you eat less.
-Keep a bottle with you all day to sip on.
-Aim for eight glasses (2 litres) a day.
-If you want, add some Crystal Light or other calorie free water flavorer. A dash of lemon juice is always good too!
EXERCISE
If you're just starting out with exercising, then start out slow, with something like walking. Aim for 3 days a week and increase it to 5 days a week.
-Change your activities often so you don't get bored. Find an exercise partener or listen to your iPod.
- Also try to incorporate exercise into your daily life.
-Walk or ride your bike to school/work if possible.
Instead of going to the mall or watching a movie, see if your friends/family want to go biking, play lasertag, bowling, swimming.
-Build up your muscles by doing light weight exercises. Muscle tissue burns more calories than fat!!
SNACKING
-Stock up your shelves with healthy snacks and get rid of the unhealthy one
-Healthy snacks include: fresh fruit, nuts, low calorie granola bars, low fat granola, fat free yogurt, baby carrots, celery sticks, whole wheat crackers, 100 calorie snack packs, dried fruit...the list is endless
EATING
-Try to eat 5-6 small meals per day
-Make sure you eat a filling breakfast. Your breakfast should include a grain, protein, dairy, and fruit.
-Allow yourself some small treats occassionally. 1/2 cup of low fat ice cream, a couple of oreos, or a bag of 100 calorie Doritos are great low calorie treats.
-Drink water and have a salad at your meals when possible. These fill you up for almost no calories.
-Use low fat condiments such as margarine, cream cheese, dressing, sour cream, jam, etc.
-Eat low fat ice cream, milk, cheese, yogurt, and cottage cheese
-Keep a food journal to keep track of how much you eat
OTHER
-Quaker chewy dipps caramel granola bars are REALLY yummy, almost like a chocolate bar, but way less calories
-Yoplait and Astro fat free yogurt with Splenda is really good and only 40-50 calories for a 100g cup
-Splenda is a great substitute for sugar and can even be used in baking
-Low calorie margarine isn't as good as regular margarine, but is great for things like frying eggs
-Don't weigh every day. Once or twice a week is lots becuase your body weight naturally fluctuates a pound or two
-Don't drink liquids with calories (besides milk) because they don't fill you up.

Your body thinks you're starving so it is holding on to the weight. You are going to have to eat more. Try not skipping breakfast. Eat atleast a piece of fruit. Then maybe a salad for lunch. Then all the other things you are already doing minus the purging.

Keeping your ideal weight requires a committment and it's a lifelong committment. Good eating habits combined with exercise works for just about everyone. I've had friends follow the weight watchers diet and the la weight loss system and they both have been very pleased.

Tough to say without knowing any specifics (height, weight, medical conditions etc).
However, some general things you can do are:
> Eat 6 small meals a day 3.5 hours apart
> Research the "glycemic index" and stay away from the HI GI carbs
> Do "interval cardio" exercises for 30 - 45 minutes twice a day 3 days a week
> Do circuit training with weights and cardio 2 days a week
> Start slow and light and gradually increase or you may injure yourself
> Stick with it
> Be patient

Moderation, keeping any exercise plans you had, and try to keep down in the starches...they carry alot of excess energy from plants which if you are not a long distance runner or keeping a constant athletic career, try to stay away from starch.

eat a strict diet of fruit, vegetables, and lean proteins.
for example: for breakfast: whole grain toast, tea with sugar substitute, and a grapefruit.
lunch: a chicken salad with low fat dressing.
dinner: a cup of skim milk with 6 oz of lean protein such as beef or chicken, and 2 cups of vegetables.
cut down on carbs but eat whole grains. do not drink soda, eat candy, or ingest alot of fats and oils and eat low fat or non-fat dairy. do crunches or situps. this will help you to get flat abs. each crunch burns .34 calories so get crackin! as for exercise, do at least 60 minutes daily. you could either run or jog or walk or bike. good luck!
oh, and, a minute long kiss burns 26 calories. ;]

hey i know how you feel i was in the same situation. i was about 30 pounds overweight and i was sick of not fitting in all my clothes and i refused to go buy a whole new wardrobe. anyway what works for me ( lost about 9 pounds in the last 2 weeks) is eat less, no candy or junk food at all, do not eat out anywhere (make your own food and bring with you to work/school etc) restaurants kill their food with butter and oil to make it taste good. also when i started getting hungry i would go to the water cooler and fill up a bottle of water and drink half then fill it back up and go back to my desk and just drink drink drink until im no longer hungry. take short frequent walks. like 20 mins a couple times a day at leas. walking slow is better then fast because it burns more calories because you stop and go pretty much and your speed does not help you along. if you have a treadmill walk for like half hour at 2 miles per hour a couple times a day and you will be losing weight in no time. change your diet and eat less bread more vegetables. i love raw vegetables so this was no problem for me its the best way to eat vegetables. dont forget to eat!!! thats the most important part of losing weight. if you just stop eating you will not lose unless you completely starve yourself. your body goes into starvation mode and saves all the fat if you dont eat because it panics. so remember 3 meals a day (i prefer a small breakfast because im never hungry in morning no bagel those are bad for you and if you do eat half only 1 bagel=5 slices of bread really not worth it) a trick i like to use is eat an apple before lunch and before dinner. it will fill you up a little so you will eat less of your meal and teach you to eat less. plus they have alot of fiber and vitamins/water. eat your food slowly. and remember you will not lose weight fast but you will lose it eventually there is no magic recipe that will make you lose weight insanely fast and if it does it will come back as soon as you bite into a burger. only right way to lose weight is to lose it slowly. and drink alot of water. 8 cups that are 8oz size per day at least it will make sure your body is not freaking and keeping water making you look bigger.
