First, give yourself permission to grieve. It's inevitable. It is going to happen. It takes a while and you can only get through it one day at a time. There is no way around the hurt and pain, you can only go "through" it.
In the meantime, do things that you can enjoy even though it might be hard at first. It will get better each day. Don't be in a rush to find the next guy. It's ok to take time to get your head back on and it's only fair to the next guy.
Good luck...

Even if you're unhappy, force yourself to make good use of your time. Learn how to do new things, make money and put it in the bank, read books, see movies, listen to new music, etc. Keep a journal and write letters, stay off your ex's blogs and whatnot, and figure out ways to make the time pass. No matter how much you know about breakups, it still takes a lot of time to move on. Someone mentioned that every month takes ten days to get over, and if anything, that figure is too low. No matter, though, because this doesn't boil down to a formula. Best wishes, and post again if you need it.

There is a grieving process we all must go through when something like that happens, I know at times it may seem devastating, but remember that time is a healing force and that it will do it's job. For now take your emotional needs your girlfriends or someone who understands, and stay occupied, exercise is good and will help release stress. Stay motivated and spiritually grounded, writing also helps. What ever you do go through with it, and feel the pain, this will only make you a stronger person for the future. Good Luck!

Think of all the bad things that happened in that relationship. Don't dwell on the past. Everything happens for a reason. Keep busy go to the gym or do exercise to get you so tired that when you go to sleep you sleep right through.

I think you should get used to being alone, because if you are not happy with yourself right now you cant be happy with someone else. So dont rush into a relationship and just enjoy life. And if u cant do that......ask your ex y did they dump u? dont beg or ask to get back together, just ask y didnt it work.

Several options:
1. Go out with the girls, get drunk, have a good time and realize that you are better than him (repeat process as much as necessary).
2. Go out and sleep with his best friend to know that you got a little revenge on him.

Stop talking to him first of all. Put him out of your life and focus on other things, work, school. friends, family, whatever. Just don't even think about trying to date or talk to any guys, focus on yourself and what you need. The less you think about him, the better and there is no better way to do that than to immerse yourself in everything else.
