If it is an innocent murmur, then you qualify in the absence of any valve damage or abnormal reading on an EKG. Waivers for conditions considered disqualifying for initial enlistment are only granted if the condition is one which would make you unfit for retention after you begin your service.
The citation below is the standard for those cases where the murmur is secondary to valve damage or narrowing of the valves.

You are asking the wrong people.
See a Marine recruiter, and the Marine physicians will tell you whether or not it is bad enough to disqualify you.
However, I know a pile of former Marines. They are pretty fussy about health concerns. Spine trouble, heart murmurs, bad organs they don't usually accept. Ugly looks, big faces, ratty hair, they don't care. It all gets okayed. But health problems can bench you in the Marines. Try the Coast Guard or the Navy. They are a bit more forgiving.

It relies upon on if it has worsened. human beings have established and ordinary heart murmurs. in the journey that your murmur in basic terms confirmed up somewhat on an EKG, you in all probability don't have something to rigidity approximately. verify with a recruiter and notice what he says. it quite is obviously on your scientific data so whilst you're between the very fortunate few who get audited, you would be screwed.

My husband also had a slight heart murmur and he was able to join the marines. He enlisted in the reserves and is now an active duty officer pilot. So it's definitely possible.
