It is just another endless UN peacekeeping operation that has no plan and has not achieved much.

The sad thing is that things were improving until the US troops left and the UN took over.

The U.N. Security Council pay the Brazilian Government for supplying troops, as they do to any country who says they will send men, all the soldiers, who are there are volunteers and receive a small U.N. Allowance for serving there.

Mission Criteria is listed as: . . . . . . . to enable the Mission to assist the democratic Government of Haiti in fulfilling its responsibilities in connection with: sustaining a secure and stable environment established during the multinational phase and protecting international personnel and key installations; and the professionalization of the Haitian armed forces and the creation of a separate police force. UNMIH was also to assist the legitimate constitutional authorities of Haiti in establishing an environment conducive to the organization of free and fair legislative elections to be called by those authorities. . . . .

Your use of the word "occupation" s way out of context as well, traditionally the UN Force has always been minimal to stop the local trouble makers declaring they have been "invaded"

If the United States were to withdraw it's funding of the Useless Nations, this bullcrap would all stop. But the liberal imbeciles in charge of Congress will never do that.
The United nations should first be told to move to France, then we should tow all their Benzes and Beamers to a chop shop and recoup our parking fines. Then revoke their visas and kick their bums out, with the exception of the UK and Australia and Israel and Japan and new Zealand. Cut off all foreign aid to everyone but Israel and see how our GDP picks up.

Like we relatively need to take over Haiti. consistent with possibility we purely like hellholes. we are there attempting to hold help to our neighbor. this is referred to as compassion. Medecins San Frontieres, as magnificent a team as they are don't have the "enormous image" as to what's mandatory the place and whilst. somebody must be certain the precedence. could you fairly this is desperate by potential of an NGO? have they have been given the fact to shield an emergency journey of this length? Does everyone be attentive to the huge issues on the floor there? doubtless all those desirous to help see their roles as cruical, yet without order there would properly be in basic terms greater catastrophe. Do you recognize that thousands and thousands, this is as in thousands and thousands of human beings are homeless and have not any foodstuff and water? Is 10,000 men even going to be sufficient??? you'll be happy we are sending fairly some. I doubt the human beings who're clothed, fed, and given scientific help, and a secure practices stress will think of we are invading. i think of we would quicker combat a conflict than be there.

My question is why were we there in the first place...i was there as part of the UN (US ARMY) in 96...I was there six months and I still have no idea why we were there...I know they had a coup, but why did Clinton get us involved in it...the worse thing in the world is a US Soldier under UN command...the only good thing that came out of it for me was we got to pepper spray Haitians on a daily basis...oh yea and watching them ride buses...I should post the video that I took of that one day...talking about funny...
