he probably is frustrated that he doesnt have more quality time with his parents and his taking it out on you. tell your mom that you are too young to deal with his behavior issues. or just let her read my answer. Let her read everyone's answers. It might really get throug to her

I'm not one for telling, but you need to seriously tell your mom. Sounds like my brother when we were growing up. I know that i'll get a lot of thumbs down for this, but i found tieing my little brother to a chair until right before mom got home was very effective. He never told either because the throwing knives was way worse then me doing that.
You know, if it all gets too bad, suggest to her that you just can't watch him because he is such a "spaz" and see what she says. Just talk to her. Thats the reason we were all givin moms you know. Tell her your problems with him, and hopefully she'll be able to help you with them.
Good Luck

At 9 and 10 you two are still pretty evenly matched.
You need to either beat him up and tie him up to gain dominance, or you need to stay away from the house until your mom gets home.

depending on how old he is, he probably finds it amusing. When he throws things at you, you need to ignore it as best you can, even if it is scary. BUT, if he is throwing heavy or dangerous items, you need to say ... "Bob, you need to stop NOW. Those could hurt me and its not funny."

And if he doesn't stop, You need to tell your mom and have her deal with him. Throwing things like knives is not funny.

If you can, keep everything he throws at you, and set it neatly on your bed, and bring her up there. Itll be exactly everything, and there will be no grye areas such as you saying that he threw a shoe at you, but he denies it. If its on your bed, he'll be hard-pressed and won't try to lie to you or your mom.

Good luck.

Talk to your mom about it. He needs to learn that you are in charge and when you are in charge he needs to respect you.
