Technically, if you believe Jesus is the savior, you're a Christian. But many would question how far you can distort His teachings and still call yourself one.

How far can you go? Obviously, there are going to be multiple interpretations of the Bible. But as a Christian, I think you have to take a hard look at yourself and ask who are YOU to decide which parts of the faith to cherry pick in order to satisfy your own extremely subjective feelings and desires. You can't say "I'm a follower of Jesus-- here are the parts of His teachings I choose to follow and here are the parts I don't like so much".

Reincarnation-- this is in contrary to Jesus' word since he speaks only of joining Him in Heaven when you die. You only believe in it because you like the idea.

Homosexuality is not "chosen" - Believe what you want here-- Jesus doesn't say one way of the other.

That there is no eternal, fiery hell-- Once again-- why not-- 'cause you don't like the idea? Who are YOU do judge God???

That Jesus died to redeem the entire human race, no exceptions-- Those who follow him. Why follow him if YOU think you have a better idea for the human race?

Strictly speaking, many of the beliefs you list are contrary to what the Bible teaches. Point by point:

1. Reincarnation - If you are referring to the popular belief of reincarnation, that being that when you die you return as another person, animal, or other entity, the bible does not speak expressly regarding this issue. For me personally, reincarnation is inconsistent with what the bible teaches.

2. Homosexuality - There are numerous places in Bible where Homosexuality in condemned (Leviticus and Romans come to mind). God's design from the beginning was for a MAN to cleave to his WIFE. The God I know would not design it that way and then make you "gay' so you could not obey Him.

3. A literal Hell - Again the Bible speaks definitively regarding hell as being a literal, physical, fiery place.

4. Of course the Bible teaches this as well

Are you an apostate? I don't know. I will say that to not believe in Hell makes me wonder why you would believe in Christianity at all. What's the point? The whole theme of the Bible (and I dare say the history of mankind) is the battle for a Kingdom. It began in heaven between God and Lucifer(Satan) and continued with Adam and ther serpent in the Garden of Eden. It's the ultimate battle of Good and evil. The issues of reincarnation and homosexuality seem like secondary issues to me. The real issue is do you believe in absolute truth and if so where is it. For me it's the Bible.

No, Jesus was trying to save us "sinners" from ourselves most of all because he knew we would not know God's grace without some good old faith backing and solid value teaching it is up to us to figure out what the right direction is too go, but we all fall short of God's glory the only difference between a worldly person and one that follows the teachings of Jesus or yesha is we have a code of values to guide us how to live. To save us literally from starving, death, and disease.

Homosexuality was deemed as bad because of all the dangerous diseases that were associated with it even in biblical times. If you truly love(not sexually) someone that is not bad if you lust after them and choose to violate them that is. So I can love you without strings I just choose not to violate you for safety reasons. I know I won't get hurt if I don't put sex as a condition of my love. Love should be unconditional and to place conditions on it is really considered a sin. However if someone would try to violate the sanctity of your love you leave that person alone, because you have a duty to look after your own safety first. Being saved is an on going process that never ends until you go home which is not this life.

I admire you for allowing yourself to think. You are not like many other religious people (and I don't mean Christians only) that take what others shovel into their throats, without reasoning.

It is OK to be a Christian, Catholic, Buddhist, Muslim, Wiccan, etc, but it is always important to browse other religions, see what they have to offer, learn about other theologies, doctrines and thoughts, so that you can build up your own belief system, based on whatever your inner voice tells you. It is a matter of Respect and Respect is also a form of love.

I know you are respectful, therefore you can only be in the right track.

Peace!

Scripture is quite clear that it is appointed to man once to die, and after that, the judgement. Tendencys are not sin, but if you choose to do those things that YHVH told you not to.... You are right, "Hell" is the purifying fire in which YHVH cleans the earth destroying sin and sinners, so He can make all things new. YAHOSHUA did die to redeem the entire human race, and all benefit by having life, and food, and water, etc. Most however in the end will refuse the life He offerred, choosing rather to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season. "Christianity" has refused salvation, by refusing to accept the most generous offer of YHVH.

considering which you assert which you have faith it quite is fullyyt in basic terms for all human beings who does not think of precisely as you do to be punished for ever and ever. you're, in result, asserting you approve of our eminent suffering. the fact that i think of your faith is a fairy tale does no longer imply that I excuse you from reason or human compassion. I nevertheless carry you to the comparable standards as all human beings else. playstation different than Muslims, the human beings with the ideals you pronounced, does not inform you this style of element. Even some Muslims could say that hell is allegory. Evolution isn't a theory; btw, it quite is a scientific concept, like gravity.

I am not your judge, first of all. But seeing what you believe, you are totally out of line with scripture, therefore I would not say you are a Christian.

I do not mean offense. One who is a Christian needs to know, and believe, the bible.

Maybe you should just be an Episcopalian or a Unitarian. They don't really make you believe anything specific; especially the latter.

I would say that you might have a tough time finding good Biblical support for those beliefs.

Repentance begins with admitting your sins. That's a good sign.
