do NOT by any means put rubbing alcohol in a cats ears!! omg, you should only use a wet q-tip to clean the outside, never in the ear canal. another way would be to make a mineral or olive oil/water mix and to squirt in in and let it run out. please be careful becuase it is really easy to damage a cats hearing if you do not really know what you are doing. good luck, i know they wont like it! :)

My vet told me to use Debrox or similar earwax removal product made for humans; it works for pets too. It will soften the wax and it will come out and make the external ear messy, and then you can wipe it out with tissues or q-tips; but don't put q-tips into the ear canal.
I've used hydrogen peroxide sometimes, but my vet advises against it; it can be irritating.

They have a gentle seven step method that works.
If your kitten has alot of black waxy stuff in its ears, it may have mites and you'll have to get him some drops at the vets.
If it looks like dried mucus, He may have an ear infection and will need some meds.

well the best way to clean there ears is by Q-tips and gentaly clean there ears

I still say vet or groomers. That way Kitty does not get hurt.

Take some q-tips and dip them in some water! NOT RUBBING ALCHAHOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do not go down farther than when you enter the q-tip into the ear it is parralel.

gently.. since they squirm.. with q-tips.. dont go near the bumpy parts.. let the vets do that.. pull out dont push in..
