If you don't want him near you a restraining order will do the trick. I know he is your friend but if you are afraid of him, then your hands should be pretty much tied. It's not worth having an abusive friendship!
Just spend time with your friends, flirt and meet new guys and you'll see that your life will start to shape back up.

If he's violent towards you, he does not love you or care for you. He shouldn't even be considered a friend let a lone a close friend.
You're smart, and clearly strong since you're reaching out online for advice.
Your instincts are important, follow them, your heart fools you.
Start your life, and do it now don't wait another day. It's going to be hard so find someone to lean on or pop online here for help.
Step one: delete him from your life.
step two: find out what you want from life.
step three: learn new things, experience new things. You'll discover who you really are and what you want.
step four: never dwell on the past, learn from it and then move on. look to a clear future, make it better than the the past.

Speaking as a couples therapist, why would you maintain a relationship with, or even be friends with, someone who expresses himself in violence towards you?

depends how old you are.
If your under 18 id tell parents, a teacher, the police as he can get put away if he harass' you or even touches you.
if your 18+ you have to move on, change where you go drinking, where you habg out and get an injunction on him.
I know people think why should i change my life but if he really bothers you, it has to be done to keep yourself safe

Just be yourself...don't let the changes you've been through change you...some people change because people are mean to them, making them mean as well...don't let it get you down, if you ask me...he's the one who lost something special...not you...stay strong, your prince is just around the next corner.

There are lots of guys in the gym. Try finding a boyfriend there. And they may protect you also.

When you been bucked off, you get back on the horse as quickly as you can. Good for the ego, and teaches the horse not to buck.
