Am I a horrible person because my first thought was: Who would go to a Starbucks drive through? If you're going to pay for over-priced coffee, you should at least get the atmosphere...

Wow! I think what you've shared is "Way Cool."
It reminds me of sometime back, when "random acts of kindness" were popular. I was living in the S.F. Bay area at the time, and for several weeks I seldom paid my own bridge tolls. Of course, I and most others were paying the toll for the car in line behind us. I recall reading there were far fewer cases of road rage at the time, and I definitely remember lots of smiling commuters. Random acts of kindness improve every body's outlook and, in the long run, cost us nothing. I'd love to see R.A.O.K. become popular during the upcoming holidays. It's just what America needs to remind every one that we're all in this life together.

it's very sweet of them
i know because people have been nice to me as they have been to others and i tried and always try my best to help those regardless of ethnicity /religion
i think the main reason people are rude at times is the way they just are, religion/ politics are only an excuse they use
we can always choose to be civil to others esp strangers who have done nothing to harm us, even if we did disagree with them on many issues
thanks for the link and happy holidays

that is really cool...Its nice to know so many people want to enjoy the spirit of giving and sharing. A lot of times I don't think people have the ability anymore...

That IS really nice. I agree totally with your last statement there. It's nice to see people just being generous and nice to each other with no pretenses!

when they start doing this at the gas station, THEN I'll be impressed. People want to help but few of us can afford such generosity. You're welcome to join me for coffee at my house though. I'll make muffins.

I know that I would be the Scrooge to end that chain and pay for my own coffee, and decide to leave not a penny behind....I am cheap, and I am proud!
