anything that has ACETAMINOPHEN in it can be toxic to the liver because the Liver is the body part that clears that from your system. Check the drug, most drugs are a combination of Aspirin, Ibuprofen, naproxyn or Acetaminophen along with a stronger controlled substance when you get to the pain level needing Oxycontin, ,type the name of the drug into a search engine and it will tell you what's in it if it isn't on the botlte.

Any pain medication can damage the liver when taken in excess. But the number 1 over the counter drug that can cause more damage to the liver is Tylenol. It can be very serious. And many of the pain medications including prescription pain medications contain Tylenol

All of them can damage your liver.
Oxycontin can damage your liver. Any drug has to go through your liver - that's it's function.
Why do you need pain killers?
Don't use them unless it's absolutely necessary. And if you have long term pain, go see a doctor in a pain clinic.
Drugs (even those prescribed for you) are bad for you.

tylenol is notorious for liver damage if you take too much, but ANY narcotic pain medication can damage your liver if you take more than is prescribed.

Tylonol. My father is a doctor, and wouldn't allow us to have it as kids. Which meant no Nyquil for bad colds!
