I LOVE it! The symbol is most associated with Taoism, a technically atheist religion, so atheists should be ok with it. I think the Christians will hate it because it's not Christian and we all know Christianity is the only religion that matters. What if we made a cross out of thumbs? Not quite as good, but I don't want to evoke the wrath of God.

WOW. That's a lot of questions. I am not sure I can answer them all here, so allow me to answer what evidences to we have for the Christian faith? It is historical, documented fact that a man names Jesus Christ lived and was crucified by the Romans (ah, bless 'em,they did a good job of keeping records). Now, taking away all the miracles the Bible says Jesus did and what do you have: the ultimate nice guy, teaching by the example of being a nice guy, loving, kind, TOLERANT (of other religions, too), understanding, patient, selfless, etc. If we follow his example, we are happier human beings, right? So, why wouldn't God want this for us? Also, ALL religions have one common element: they all predict a messiah: one 'person' sent from God to show us meer mortals what God wants us to. So, (I believe) God sent one person named Jesus Christ to show us what He (God) wants us to be and to become so we can be happy and get a long with each other. Most other religions rejected that Christ was the messiah because God didn't send the messiah to them, and therefore, they are still waiting. But if other religions say they are waiting for a sign from God, maybe they just didn't want to see the sign He sent. Christianity makes sense for living in peace and happiness and it's all explained in the world's best-selling self-help book: the Bible. And that's what I think.

What Christianity really stands for - spiritual above worldly ; therefore the empty cross above the world (globe) inside a circle.

It's far from that ordered. I mean look someone just tried to claim agnostics are neither theist nor atheist. Misconceptions are the norm here.
