hey guys :)
im confused,
iv'e been really weird lately with my emotions & moods...
like one day i'll be extremely happy, i'll want to do things, get out more, and be really nice to people & get on with whatever i have to do...
then one day i'll be extremely depressed, like i'll be really sad, misserable, even know my life isnt at all that bad, i just imagine myself dead, and everyone crying. i'll be in moods with people, and i'll just think "why bother" all the time.
soo how is it that i'm changing from one extreme emotion to the other?
its soo weird :S

Bipolar disorder is RARELY characterized by one day good, one day bad mood swings. The cycling is not that rapid, just to correct the others. Could be a lot of things, puberty (hormones), stress...if this is affecting your life, talk to someone about it! I'm sure you're young and you shouldn't be feeling this way all the time. :(

Well it could be natural. Moods are natural and it is only a matter of becoming comfortable with all moods. You are born to experience a huge range of emotions and do not need to worry when you are sad...it is normal. If you stay in sad periods for extended lengths or have extreme mood swings where you spend a lot of money, do risky behavior or believe you are Jesus you need to get checked for a psychological disorder. If you are a young adult or adolescent it is normal to feel ungrounded and emotional. You are finding yourself and deciding what you believe about life.

It depends on how long this has been going on. You haven't said how long this has been going on or how often your moods change. If it's been this way for as long as you can remember, or over a year, or greatly affecting your productivity in life, I might say you want to go to a doctor and see if you're bipolar. But you also didn't say how old you are. If you are under 20, this may just be normal adolescent behavior which should not be confused with a bipolar disorder. So, if it hasn't been going on long, or you're under 20, I wouldn't worry about it. But if it's been going on for a long time(over a year) and screws with your life dramatically, you might want to go get checked out by a doctor.

I don't know it happens to me too... Some people say to plan your day and make it so there are happy things going on around me.... what would that be. I try music, television, movies, visitors, shopping, but there is no gurantee. I feel like I am stuck mentally where I was when I was 18. same music.
A mom with kids still singin Driving my train high on cocaine.
or magical mystery tour..... My days have ended but the thoughts go on about how it would have been to be a druggie.
I do not have many friends left and I carry a chip on my sholder about not seeing relitives and having drop by visitors like the old days. I don't want a funeral. Why would I want all of these busy people putting a day aside for my funeral when they could just plan a little something for us to do while we are alive.

Your hormones may be out of balance or you could have bipolar disorder or suffer from manic depression. The best thing is to talk to your doctor. There are medications that can help with either problem. Keep in mind how the roller coaster of emotions are effecting you now though. Many people who are bipolar stop taking their meds because they balance you out. Some people do so because they miss the manic, (high, good mood) episodes, forgetting how miserable the depressed, low feelings are. GOOD LUCK!

I think everyone has "good" days and "bad" days.. Does some pretty extreme thou.. Maybe you have to much time on your hands and you just dwell on certain emotions.. Keep busy and don't be so self-centered. Think of the world out-side of you.. Like you even said you don't have it that bad...
If you feel you can't do this on your own then maybe you need meds??
Hope this helps you =)

It's probably the holiday blues. a lot of people get them. Your pic looks young if that is you. it could be just teen angst. If this sadness persists for more than 30 days go see a psychologist and talk it out.

Of course you can't to be happy all the time. Even the smallest event can have a radical effect on your mood. It sounds harsh, but, just.. deal with it; everyone else has to.
