-She thought it was too expensive and you shouldn't have bought it. (Best Case Scenario)
-Thought the gift had no thought in it. (IE: You gave her a rock you found on the ground.) (Bad Case Scenario)
-She doesn't like you, and doesn't want a gift from you. (Worst Case Scenario)

Refused as far as what? If the gift was refused, it is a good thing. It shows that they are not interested but are not "using you" to get material things while not wanting any type relationship with you. An honest person....nice to know they still exist.

If your gift is not accepted, either you are required to present this gift by yourself, or the other guy has taken the chance. Better start looking for another Girl Friend.
