I am getting divorced & in my 12 yrs of marriage we ruined my credit with stupid mistakes. My husband had horrible credit when we got married and I had no credit so over the years we destroyed mine. My credit report has everything from write offs and non payments to a repossesion 4 yrs ago. How can I start over and rebuild good credit.

Also,
How long will it take for everything to come off my credit report.

My goal is to be able to buy a home for my children if I can ever get this mess cleaned up.

main thing right now it to pay everything on time if you can.pay off what you can.It will show on credit report but it will have a happier ending.don't buy more stuff on credit its on there for the next 3 years.showing zero balances over rides the report showing how many times you were late. You can later open a new account to reestablish good credit

you could get a personal loan and pay it off in a few months that way you could buid good credit or you could get a credit card use it for everyday purchases and make the full payment at the end of the month that way you do not pay interest and build credit. Check out www.fastcreditcardapprovals.com here you will be able to compare all major credit cards side by side on rates, fees and reward, no matter what kind of credit you have they have the right card for you

Just pay your bills on time. You are allowed to borrow, just make the payments as expected.
