I bought it on Sunday, meaning to make pasta sauce. It has been thawed and in the fridge since then. It is now Thursday. Will it still be okay?
(The tag says to sell by December 18th. I hate to waste it by throwing it away if I don't have to. This has been a crazy, busy week!)

you can tell by the smell of the meat. if it has an odor, it's no good. if it's a little brown but smells okay it should be fine to use to brown for sauce.

i should be alright, but look it over and smell it first.

brown it in a pan and see if it still smells fine.

i usually freeze everything until the day before i need to use it.

good luck and happy holidays!

2 days at the most. After that, prepare to be sick.

You should have put it in the freezer when you realized you weren't going to be able to cook it. It's Christmas time and people are starving. Good job, waster.
