The LUMIX Is The Best Of The Three And I Might Recommend A Set Of 'AA' Rechargeable Batteries And A 1GB SD Card And Defiantly A Carrying Case To Keep It From Getting Dirty/Scratched. Check Out the Link Below:

If the young lady in question wants quality pictures, I would definitely go with the Panasonic. They have Leica lenses, which are one of the 2 best lens companies out there, and their optics are incredible. HP generally doesn't make great cameras. In this case, it's cheap for a reason. The polaroid again would be alright if picture quality it not a huge concern and she just wants a pink camera. I'd recommend buying from an actual camera store such as Wolf Camera or Ritz Camera, versus a department store, thought. You don't want to buy your camera from an "expert" that usually works the appliance department!

The Panasonic would be your best choice of the three. Good lens, optically stabilized, and pink! Perfect choice for a 12 yo girl, she will like the color and once she starts taking pics she will like the results. In the end that will mean she will actually get some use from her present and, hopefully, not abandon it 3 months down the road.

Do not go with any of these selections, since you have to consider the possibility of the camera being dropped or damaged. Instead, select a Kodak digital camera which comes with convenient and quick turnarounds for camera repairs.

Good luck!

The second one! I was about to make fun of it because it's pink, but I noticed it will go up to ISO 3200 and a 60 second exposure! That's is awesome for a compact digital camera. I might buy one for myself! It might be hard to explain to the guys why I'm carrying a pink camera though...

Numbers 1 and 2 are good, I like 2 better for some its cool features. (The number 1 is out of stock in Best Buy, but still 2 is better in my opinion).

Of these three, the one in the middle: The Panasonic.
