We have twin cats about 6 months old, about three weeks ago one of them started howling, so OK she went into heat. But after a week she stopped. Now for the last couple days she is howling and making this gurgling noise. Is she in heat again? I thought they went into heat for a week and then not again for about six months? My husband and I and even her twin sister are getting really tired of it. If she is in heat again, I know, Get her spayed, which I will do when she gets out of heat, too dangerous now. Thanks.

Is she Siamese ? My Siamese cat used to go into heat every 2 weeks but the vet assured me this was normal for them but to get her to his office for spaying as soon as possible.

Cats go in and out of heat almost continually--with only two or three days between, quite often. Best to get her spayed, it's not going to stop and she COULD get so frustrated she'll start spraying the furniture.

Call the vet, arrange a series of days, so you can get her in when she's between the times, or have him give her the shot that brings her out of heat, so they can do the spaying.

You're just going to have to listen to her until you get her spayed. My kitties both went into heat at the same time and yes, drove us crazy until we had them fixed. They were loud, and some of the noises they made I never heard before in my life (or since, thankfully). You can get her spayed while she is in heat.

WHY WONT YOU SPAY THE POOR CAT NOW???? No vet will tell you it's dangerous what are you talking about?? ANd get her poor sister spayed also. It's not right for you to get annoyed at her because you neglect to take care of her physical, instinctual needs.

yep, you need to get her spayed ASAP.

It's not a matter of "if she goes into heat again... then we will get her spayed"

If you do not get her fixed she will continue to be in heat throughout her life and will not stop.

call the vet or petsmart and ask if there is something to calm her while she is in heat. get her spayed asap!

if the twin isn't in heat, get her fixed now.
