I would get a new doctor. It might be allergies. Have they done chest Xrays, he may need a longer does of Antibiotics just to make sure its really gone.

Go get a second opinion you dont want him ending up in the hospital for Christmas.

Put your foot down with the doctor, the poor little lad cant be well so get a 2nd opinion off another doctor, as for being 13mths that is no reason why they cant investigate or give him other suitable medication its under 1 when medicines are hard to come by for kids, get another opinion, also keep a diary of what he is eating at what time and then when he is sick write down the time, take this with you to the doctors so they can see if he may have an allergy this is what i had to do when my little one was sick a lot and had the trots too. Wasnt nice and i had to push for them to test him, luckily no allergy found just a bug they said and he's fine now but if you keep a food diary for him you can got prepared instead of them asking you too and having to wait longer to find the cause, I hope i helped and I hope he gets better x

I agree that you ought to see a different doctor. But also look at what he's eating, because food affects health more than many people realise. When your son is sick, he needs healthy food all the time - fruit and vegetables, and a bit of meat and eggs or beans and lentils for protein.

It might also be worth having him tested for allergies or food intolerances, as they may be giving him symptoms of illness.

Also, make sure he has a LOT of natural yogurt or acidophilus to restore his good bacteria when he's had a course of antibiotics.

Definitely get a different doctor! You need another opinion anyway and your doctor may not be prescribing the correct meds. Doctors are fallible, always best to get a second or even a third opinion. Don't let him keep suffering, that is terrible.

You need to talk to the Dr. about this again. Have him allergy tested, this could be the cause. If your Dr. won't do anything about it get a 2nd opinion.

See a different doctor. It's pretty clear that while the symptoms are being treated, the problem is not.

Good luck!
