I know this guy from work and we have become really good friends. He calls me every night, we even went Christmas shopping. We went to the work Christmas party and he asked me if I was trying to make people hit on me. The problem? He has a girlfriend and talks about her a lot, sometimes for the good and sometimes for the bad. She is currently in college in another state and he only sees her on breaks. Does he like me??

Just to make this perfectly clear...I have NO intention to EVER do anything with this guy. I am not a homewrecker. He will have to end the relationship with her. He even wanted to go to the gym with me and I told him to ask his gf if its ok..

If he has a girlfriend, I don't care if she is in Siberia, and he is taking you out to a party, shopping, and calls you? What do you think?? Just be sure the other woman is totally out of the picture before you begin something with him. If not, you will regret it. If he makes any advancements like a kiss etc I would just ask him what he wants out of your friendship, that, or more? You have every right to ask. It's your heart that will hurt when it breaks.

As to "liking" you...probably. Right now, you could be considered his "port in the storm." If you haven't taken steps to advnace the relationship in the direction of skin-on-skin, take a step back and review the situation.
1) You're starting to fall for him.
2) He's dating someone else (hey, even if it is a long distance relationship).
3) He's dating someone else...hitting on you is EXTREMELY tacky!
4) If he's willing to cheat on her...he'll cheat on you!
5) After he dumps the other girl...THEN you can consider him as a possible!
6) Play it safe and distance yourself from him, until and unless #5 comes to pass!

It sounds to me that he might find you attractive and fun to be around. If he has a girlfriend, don't even consider whether he likes you are not. Have enough respect for yourself not to get in the middle of a relationship going bad. It will not end well.

Well...it seems like he's putting you on. What you should do is be really mysterious about it and ask in a way like " What if I have a friend who is really close to another friend and I get the feeling he likes me" and see what he says. But the real question is...Do you like him?

Seems like you guys spend a lot of time together and have some type of interest but I don't know if he totally likes you. He might be confused at this moment over his feelings for you and the girlfriend.
