I am so on board with this!! I have no ideas for names or rules or whatnot, those things can be made up as we go along. I do have the perfect diety though. A half monkey, half zebra, half turtle. Thats right, it is not a whole creature, it is one and a half creatures. It will be roughly the size of a school bus. He, I think it has to be a 'he' isn't that a religious rule? He will be omnipotent (all powerful) and omnipresent (everywhere), but NOT omniscient (all knowing). Thats right, our god will NOT have all the answers. Why? because that could make the rules more flexible decades down the line. I would also suggest bringing back animal sacrifice to appease the gods, but just the crappy animals that nobody likes; rats, pigeons, elks, Canadians, etc. We don't need to sacrafice sheep or cattle cuz thems good eats. There should also be a secret handshake of some sort. And a fantastic legend about the creation of our monkey/zebra/turtle god. How about this- a monkey was riding a zebra and at the exact moment that the zebra stepped on a turtle, all three were struck by lightning, but not just any lightning. Super powerful lightning that somehow comverted them from a monkey, a zebra, and a turtle into a monkeyzebraturtle (We can come up with a better name).
We should file for non-profit, tax exempt status soon, red tape might take a while to get this approved.

I don't want to start another religion.
So we should call it. The Anti-Religion Religion.
There would be one rule. #1 No Religion
It would be centred around the idea that religion is a waste of time we would encourage our followers not to show up and not to follow us. Now we should get together soon and make this not happen.

Millions today know that we are in need of a one world spirituality ,not a one world religion.We are soon going to see the reappearance of the great World Teacher who's personal name is Maitreya ,and he comes not alone but with a group very wise teachers known as the Masters of Wisdom.They will ,in time ,teach all of mankind of the art of sharing ,co-operation and self realization so that we all may have a chance to live in a much better world and as well as have a hand at the construction of a new one world civilization beyond the scope of our imagination.

I don't have a name for it, but it would be centered around treating other people decently in THIS life, because that's all we have. This ranges from not putting your empty shopping cart behind someone else's car to not shooting people.
Now that I think of it, I don't feel a need to have a name for it or call it a religion--couldn't we just have people living their lives in peace?

It should be named after me, smcwhtdtmc. It sounds mystical, plus there are no vowels :-)
The rules should definitely be internally inconsistent. If someone questions this inconsistency, we can respond by saying that they need to look within themselves to find the true meaning.
Also, let's make Monday the holiest day of the week, so we can meet in the evenings and watch football (and drink beer). This will aid in our enlightenment.
For holidays, I'd be in favor of celebrating Festivus.
For the rest of the rules, let's just use the Books of Bokonon.

I already have. It's called Golfism. The rules are already in script. It's centered around the benevolent love of the Golf Gods and their holy inhabitants. I believe my way, you believe yours and I believe we can all get along.

Why commence e new one at the same time as that's way more convenient and extra rewarding to create a sparkling $ian cult. those are the minimum attributes required. might want to be a good con artist without moral experience. sensible healthful and fancy hairdo. Love of human beings's money. Loud bellowing voice to shout JeeeeeeeeeeeeeSUS! waiting to selectively quote verses interior the bible that healthful your spiel. good at tax dodging and delivery money foreign places. declare to hate gays yet draw close out (pun) with them between amenities.
