People condemn you in order to make themselves feel important. Ignore them.
John the Baptist questioned whether Jesus was the one. Peter betrayed Jesus three times. Jesus himself questioned God, asking if he could be excused from the cross.
Every human being has questioned God, from Mother Teresa and Billy Graham to you and me. The way of salvation is not a straight, orderly line; it's a journey with stops and starts, hills and valleys, reversals and repentance.
Don't stop asking questions. We learn by asking questions, and God expects us to learn.

There is nothing wrong with exploring ones doubts about life, religion, and life. However, maybe there are better ways of finding out your answers than putting them on a forum such as this. People's passions on the subject usually run pretty deep and the answers some time reflect that whether pro or con. I have questioned my faith on many occasions, but found that anytime I asked someone about it, the answers were so biased that it initially had an adverse effect. What I started to do was just let it play out and let the answers come to me by a different route. A good rule of thumb I've used is to watch how the person who is giving me advice really lives before I put any merit into his answers. I wish I could explain it better than that, but I wouldn't become anti-anything because of answers from a minority of people who have no stake in your life. It would be better to just not agree with someone's theology than to become anti to it. Remember, everyone wants you to join their "camp" whether it is Christian, Muslim, Atheist, Agnostic, etc... and all of them will give you the answer that will lead you to their direction. Hope you find what you are looking for.

Ever heard of the saying, "Takes one to know one?"
I have found that the people that make me most angry, are those who share my deepest failings. I suggest this is how you should view those who tell you that you are prideful and a sinner, for asking questions. Really, it is probably just a mask they put on, because they are prideful (ie unteachable) and do not want to question or change their beliefs.
If you have patience and faith in your search, and refuse to condemn or despise anyone's faith, then you will find the truth.
But if you condemn other people's faith, because of their failings towards you, then you may well miss out on some beautiful truths.
Your knowledge of the Truth will grow and grow, provided you never limit yourself by unbelief. Seek and you will find. Be believing.

You are not alone in this situation my friend. The bible contains an account of a Ruler of the temple, a big personality for that matter in those days. The man is named Nicodemus. He asked a simple question which people would have readily condemned, but Jesus gave a comprehensive answer which had become a landmark in christiandom today. There is no harm in questioning God. You require answer and no one should condemn you for this. Thomas was a disciple of Jesus and would not believe that Jesus arose from the dead. Jesus found it necessary to appear to the disciples in the presence of Thomas so his doubt would be addressed. My advise to you is "Look for a Bible believing church and meet the Pastor and ask him all your questions".
One of the requirements of the Bible is that we all need to know the reasons for our Faith so we can provide answer to others when the need arises. God bless you and do not be bitter.

I don't condemn people because they don't believe in something, the same way I don't condemn people for believing in something. But I do condemn the bigoted ignorant loud mouths who constantly bash each other on this forum. I detest those who look for Christians who ask legitimate questions about scripture but making answers like (No God, fairy Tale, Mythical creature, I'm smarter than you).
But the other side of the fence -I do not appreciate the trolls who post these gems "why do atheists curse god if they don't believe in him?" Way to raise the bar.
If you don't believe in Deity, then stay on the mythological forum, if you want to save the non-believer, hit the flea markets and malls like everyone else.

I hear what you are saying and I can honestly say that I feel the same way. There are times when I have doubts about my faith, I'm pretty new to this Christian lifestyle and I feel totally out of place. Yet the more that I doubt Him as the one true God, He makes it clear to me through His word and other people that I shouldn't doubt at all. It's hard to tell who is real and who isn't, yet in times of need and in times of doubt I hit my knees and pray and Jesus shows me the truth. I don't know if this helps but do me a favor don't let anyone try to separate you from Jesus.

Hey Autumn,
I just wanted to let you know that I believe God gave us our mind for a reason. I think that we are here to ask questions, even question God, and find the truth for ourselves. We should not let anyone tell us what we should believe or what we should do with our lives. I am sorry that people who claim to be Christians have said awful things to you. People, like us, who question things seem to scare those that do not want to search for the truth and people like that will never find the freedom that Jesus spoke of when he said the truth will set you free. You are on the path to enlightenment. I am sure God is right beside you and proud of you for using your mind and finding the truth for yourself. I wish you the best of luck and I hope that you let no one deter you from your path, you will find your truth. And in the end that is what matters.

I feel exactly the same way...sorta.
People (in general) just do not like accepting things that are different from what they are accustomed. I do feel the same way, except that I have pretty much already renounced all my ties with the Christian religion (Catholic to be more precise). I think that they are all a bunch of hypocrites (I base this on personal experience...I don't mean to disrespect anyone or their beliefs). You should just not let anyone put you down for having your own opinion. You do what you gotta do to make YOU happy. PEACE!! ^o^

I am a Christian, and I would never condemn you for questioning. I question things that I don't understand all the time- and that includes God at times- that does not mean I am not a Christian though. No one can condemn anyone- we condemn ourselves- we are all sinners, I am not pointing my finger at you- please believe that- I am saved by the blood of Christ, that does not make me prideful or does it make me think I cannot sin. God is perfectly fine with you questioning Him- actually read the book of Psalms and David questions a lot, and he was called a man after God's own heart- if you want to "talk" to someone that will not condemn you feel free to email me.

Religions has turned off more people in this world then they saved. Organized fanatics demand you accept their way or the highway. You have to find out for yourself which way to go. Other people's input should be sorted out and used to complete your own religious quest. Don't look for approval from anyone but God.
